Why settle for a ordinary mountain vacation rental when you can have your very own LOG CABIN with a BEAUTIFUL backyard WATERFALL and a spectacular 60 mile front porch view?
Imagine this... You're sitting on the front porch at Waterfall Hide-A-Way enjoying the cool, fresh mountain air... in one direction you see and hear the soothing Waterfall as it cascades over large rocks and pools below.
Now look out front and you'll see a summery panorama featuring every shade of the color green spread out to the horizon of a wide forested valley and distant time-softened mountains.
White clouds hang like dollops of meringue in the Carolina blue sky. Natural beauty of this magnitude is a feast for the senses...it nourishes the soul. It is equally magnificent when autumn leaves paint it red, copper, bronze and gold.
When winter snow blankets it with sparkling layers of sugar white, and when spring shoots, buds and flowers inundate it in a sea of lacy pastel foam. Waterfall Hide A Way is a vacation spot for all seasons!
We welcome you to come enjoy this very unique mountain treasure!

What an awesome place to get away from it all! House was excellent and the views were wonderful. Owners were very nice to work with, will be going back soon I hope.
My husband and I had booked this cabin for our honeymoon May 8th 2016. We paid the deposit and were told we would get a call a week or so before our arrival for the balance and to receive the key code. Three days before our wedding day, no word. I called and emailed numerous times. Finally, the day before my wedding at 1pm, I left a final voicemail stating I expected a full refund being as she would not get back to me. I booked another last minute honeymoon. NOT what I wanted to do the day before my wedding. Thank god I was able to find somewhere to go last minute. Although, being as it was last minute we had to pay more than we wanted for a big cabin just for the two of us. After we returned I still had no email or voicemail from her. I finally heard back TWO WEEKS later only after tracking down her husband at his business (she told me about what he does so I did some research). She seemed very sincere about the mistake, and offered a free weekend to make up for ruining our honeymoon. We booked the weekend of my birthday, October 28th-30th. ONCE AGAIN!!!!! Nothing after phone calls and emails! So, two special occasions ruined within six months. I don't even know what to say except we are very upset and don't understand why somebody would do this. So, good luck to anyone attempting to rent this cabin.
Good luck trying to rent this cabin. We have been trying to rent it since back in July. After many emails and phones messages left, with no response except a email at first stating she would call after she got off work. (Which never happened), we gave up. Such a shame though, with all the OLD reviews seems like a great place to stay ! Like I said!!! GOOD LUCK
We have stayed in cabins all over the western part of North Carolina and eastern part of Tennessee, and I have to say, this is one that we will definitely be back to. It wasn't the fanciest one, or the largest, or the one with the best mountain views. But it was gorgeous, and peaceful, and we had private nature trails on which to hike, with seating hidden all along the trails. There is one perch high above the cabin, where you can watch the sunrise in the valley, overlooking yonder mountains. I thoroughly enjoyed the hammock below the fish pond. My daughter loved feeding the fish from the stash on the porch. The waterfall was lit so you could still see it at night. The fire pit along the waterfall was relaxing. I could have spent days there without ever leaving the cabin. Firewood was provided for the fireplace. Our girl loved the daybed (with trundle) up in the loft. We were there to visit nearby Stone Mountain, but it was also just an hour's drive to Pilot Mountain, and Mt. Airy, which we also visited. Bed was fairly comfortable. The cabin had a nice smell to it, and there were plenty of candles for atmospheric lighting. Cable and WiFi worked wonderfully. We cannot wait to return.
