|Minimum Stay||4 - 7 nights|
With stunning views over the Caribbean/Atlantic oceans, the villa enjoys the cooling breezes of the trade-winds. This not only makes it comfortable throughout the year but that rare location a mosquito free zone.
Situated in landscaped, tropical gardens cut from the natural St Lucian environment, the villa has 5500 sq ft of living space spread over three levels, each taking full advantage of the stunning, uninterrupted sea views.
All main rooms are large, airy and finished to a high standard. Italian tiles throughout, kitchen units, closets and furniture handmade by the islands best carpenter and appliances, furnishings and furniture imported from Europe combine to give a feel of quality hard to find in the Caribbean.
The spacious lounge with ceiling fans, over sized sofas, TV and DVD player with DVD library and wireless internet opens onto a deep terrace that runs the length of the villa and provides full-sun and shade areas at all times of day.
The kitchen with ceiling fan is fully equipped and there are a variety of formal and informal dining areas; the lounge, terraces and pool deck.
The lower level pool deck has ample space for sun loungers in both sun and shade where guests can relax with a drink at the bar or on the in-pool seats. For the more energetic the 45 ft lap lane and the gym with rowing machine and fitness equipment provide the opportunity to get the heart rate up.
The main tourist area of Rodney Bay with supermarkets, shopping mall, marina and restaurants is only 10 min by car.u Several beaches and a national trust park are located nearby together with a wide variety of sporting activities.
The prestigious Saint Lucia Golf and Country Club is 2 minutes drive away. This outstanding 6771 yard par-71 course is set amongst the scenic rolling hills of Cap Estate and overlooks both the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. The course opened in 2001 and has since become one of the most demanding layouts in the Caribbean; the par-5 opening hole gets players' attention right away with a fairway guarded on the right by trees and on the left by bunkers. There is also a practice putting green and 350 yard driving range.
An impressive new US style clubhouse with pro-shop, bars, lounges including TV lounge, grill and restaurant was completed in April 2008 and players can relax on a large terrace overlooking the challenging par 3 18th.

Tranquility is the Caribbean home of Richard and Sue from England.
“We always wanted to split our time between the UK and a warmer climate when we retired and after looking at many destinations we knew that St Lucia had everything; laid back lifestyle, lovely people, crystal clear tropical seas, and just the right size island - not too small to feel cramped not too big to feel impersonal- a home from home.
Kris Wagner purchased this villa in 2001
After spending many visits staying in villas all over the island to get a feel for what would be the perfect location that must also have a great view, finally, on the last day of a visit in 2001 we found a piece of land that ticked all the boxes. A very peaceful tranquil spot but yet a short drive to Rodney Bay amenities, even shorter to our favourite beach and on the doorstep of the Golf course. We had to stand on the roof of the jeep to see the view of the bay over all the bushes, but it was love a first sight and that was that.
We designed a house that we could live in rather than just holiday in: capturing the cooling breeze so it was never too hot to feel like cooking and so really live in it. Plus no mosquitoes, a pool we could laze in at any time of day without fear of sunburn as a part would be in shade and the amazing view from every room and terrace.
It was finished in 2006 and has been everything we hoped for. Now we are retired we spend more and more time here but for the time being we still rent it out whilst we are off island.”
Thank you for sharing villa tranquillity with us. A beautiful, spacious, well equipped home-away-from-home with a lovely view!
We enjoyed our stay on St. Lucia –
-Pigeon Island (amazing view)
-Smugglers Cove Beach (our favourite)
-Diamond Falls Botanical Garden
-Tet Paul Nature Trail/ View of Pitons
-Ledera/Dasheene for lunch
Jaques for dinner
-Gros Islet Jump Up
p.s. so thankful for all the beach towels!!!
We stayed at TV the week between Xmas and New Years and had a very good experience. The house is lovely, in great shape and has a nice setting overlooking the Atlantic side of the island. Kris, the booking agent, was quite helpful with the advance process including suggestions for restaurants and attractions and she is very responsive (a big deal with me). The house always has a breeze which keeps mosquitoes away and cools the main living areas which are not air conditioned. The bedrooms all have A/C and are perfect at night if you need to be cool. There are fans throughout the house and that helps as well. Temps were not too high while we were there, so it might be a problem in the high season, but again, the trade winds always blow. The house is well appointed and the kitchen is quite up-to-date. The one negative is the road (about 200-300 yards) that leads to the house from the Cap Estate main road. It is in horrible shape and really not negotiable without a SUV. We were told this, so it was not a surprise and have driven these kind of roads on other islands, but it detracts from the area. The owners in the area should do something about it as it is not a government maintained road. Overall, we had a very nice time and experience at TV.
This was a return visit, we stayed at Villa Tranquility several years ago and had fond memories of it.
Still well presented and with the extras that we haven't often found in other vacation rentals.
This time R & R was our priority and although we repeated a few of our favourite trips (boat trip down to the Pitons, trip into the rainforest where we found we could now zipwire!), much of our time was spent playing golf (thanks to Kris for doing all the bookings and the owners for enabling us to be like members), relaxing by the pool and enjoying cooking in the well equipped kitchen and on that massive BBQ with the view we fell in love with last time.
Weather was not quite as perfect on this visit. Couple of days of rain and an impressive thunderstorm (we saw the need for the deep roadside ditches!) but at least the rain was warm and the owners have thoughtfully left plenty of DVD's and books even though we are now "kindled".
All in all another great stay. Thanks for sharing what is clearly your home, be seeing you again.

PS Thanks to Mike the gardner for slicing the top off a a few coconuts from the palms in the garden.
We stayed here for our 2nd anniversary and had an amazing vacation. The views from the villa are way more inspiring than the pictures show. Eating breakfast while gazing into the horizon was completely relaxing. The postitioning of the villa was great for tanning by the pool, looking at the stars, and getting a great breeze to keep you cool. I didn't even think about watching TV during our stay. The location of the villa is fairly private, so you have to drive everywhere if you want to get to anything. We expected that, so it turned out perfectly. The property manager was extremely helpful and shared lots of great tips!!! The only downside was while in the pool, the bushes blocked a good part of the gorgeous view. I would guess they are placed there to help with erosion. The alarm system definitely made us feel safe, but I think we set it off every way possible...sorry about that :/ Thank you again for letting us use your wonderful home, and I'll be sure to recommend it to others.
This is truly a place exactly like the pictures. Beautiful and quiet ( just what we were looking for) . However few things are missing to make it the perfect getaway for vacation: only one tv on the living area, no more in the whole house. It is difficult these days to have only one television set specially if you have family - for me it is nice to watch tv before going to bed but was not able to do so.
No A/C on the living area, if the wind stops blowing it gets hot very hot within minutes making it almost impossible to sit on the area, a split system will work great just on the days that are hot.
Did not like the idea that the turned out A/C units off on our bedrooms while away from the villa, you pay for your comfort and not to have someone turn off your A/C.
Other than those bad points the place is just beautiful and peaceful.
Few things like new ceiling fans on the living area, more televisions and A/C on the living area will make the perfect place.
We came to St Lucia to celebrate our 25th anniversary and chose Villa Tranquility to be our home away from home! Upon arriving, we saw that the pictures didn't do it justice! The villa is large, airy, comfortable, meticulously clean, and equipped with everything you need! The kitchen was our favorite room when we weren't outside on the patio. True to its word, there were NO mosquitos due to the balmy winds that are always blowing! We loved sleeping with our door open to let in the fresh Caribbean air!
Enjoyed the golf, the beaches at Piegon Island, Smugglers Cove, LeSport, Reduit, the rain forest sky tram, a day going down to Soufriere on a boat to see the Pitons, mud baths, and mineral waterfalls and snorkeling at Anse Cochon. The island is truly paradise!
We BBQed most evenings, but had a gorgeous sunset dinner at the Cliff at Cap Maison, lunch at Spinnakers, the Naked Fisherman and Majories at Cas de Bas.
Thank you Kris for being helpful and so easy to deal with. You were a phone call away if we needed something or had a question. And a huge thank you to Paula for keeping the villa so impeccably clean!!!
Wonderful trip to paradise!
We stayed at this villa for a week. It is a beautiful house with everything up to standard.
Pros - the housekeeper was friendly and helpful with details
- the driver was exceptional and easy to reach when needed
- the management company was also very helpful and easy to reach
- the kitchen is very good
- very quiet and although you can see other villas you have privacy
- bedroom AC works well
Cons - the pool is not on the main level of the house, so to use it you must walk down side stairs - and you are asked to lock the house when you go down.
- the road to the house is very narrow and rough - more of a steep trail than a road
- you are warned by management not to go walking alone in daylight and not at all after dark
- you can't really walk to any beaches if you wanted to anyway
- dogs roam throughout the area
Bottom line is that it was kind of like a beautiful prison :) It was luxurious but that aspect was tempered quite a bit for us by the requests that we conserve water, electricity, etc. and also that we didn't feel quite safe in the area.
