What makes this House unique
This property is situated on over 40 wooded acres of absolute privacy in the middle of 1100 acres of public forest preserves and designated significant wild life habitat community. It is serenely private, yet still close to civilization. The road is an old stage coach line and was known as the highway to Madison. There was an Inn and tavern on the road and multiple farms evidenced by the rock walls that once surrounded fields throughout the surrounding forest.

Wonderful place to stay
This is a truly unique place; you are surrounded by beautiful forest for miles in every direction. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. Extremely private and serene. Lanna was very attentive to our needs and was easy to get ahold of. We had a great time and I would highly recommend!
You guys were great! Come back anytime!
Unique place surrounded by Nature
The views were incredible and having a deers right out the windows made for a really unique experience. Peaceful, restful, clean and was outfitted with everything you could need. This place is perfect if you are looking for some time away and need to shut off the cell phone. Communication with Lanna was great and the direction she sent were helpful. We are highly recommend to anyone. So much fun!!
Beautiful and private. We enjoyed every bit of our stay!
Beautiful home and a relaxing piece of property. This was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway!
Amazing wooded retreat
My family needed a last minute accommodation for a funeral in Connecticut, in late August. The hotels along the shoreline were booked, but we found this property which was just perfect and fit everyone. It's a spacious home that's beautifully decorated. There are plenty of beds for everyone- we had eight family members sleeping comfortably. Yes, it's far in North Guilford. Just plan ahead. If you're familiar with the area it's about five minutes from Durham. No hardship! We saw deer, bunnies, hummingbirds, and of course the cows that live down the street. Definitely recommend.
Beautiful secluded property
8 of us went for a weekend stay. Loved the house and the beautiful property. Very serene
This property is surrounded by over 1100 acres of undeveloped land and public preserves with hiking trails. It is a designated significant wildlife community habitat. It is private and quiet yet close to civilization if you want to leave the property. The quaint New England towns are a must see, especially downtown Guilford and the Henry Whitfield Museum. Also the cruise out of Stoney Creek of the Thimble Islands.
