We purchased our cottage on Kiawah Island in summer of 2005, and I began renting it on VRBO during the weeks we were not able to enjoy Kiawah ourselves. In 2007, a friend on nearby Seabrook Island asked me if I would help her rent her villa also. Since I loved helping people plan their vacations in the area, I obtained my South Carolina Property Manager's License and began a business - Kiawah By Owner. I now help rent more than 25 other properties on Kiawah Island and Seabrook Island in addition to our cottage. I look forward to helping you plan your vacation - Susie Oringel 704-277-2912
We have been vacationing on Kiawah for over 15 years and have rented properties through a few different companies. Since 2011 we have rented exclusively with Kiawah By Owner and could not be more pleased with our experiences. Susie is always responsive whether we have questions before our trip or have any issues while there. We’ve rented at least five different properties that KBO manages and have been pleased with each.
During our most recent stay we rented 89 Inlet Cove and words cannot adequately describe the view this property offers! It was so relaxing to enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck in the mornings and just stare out at the view. And evening was even better when we took in beautiful sunsets. We saw so much wildlife in and around the river.
The house had everything we needed from an adequately stocked kitchen to comfortable bedrooms to reliable wifi. It was great to have access to a community pool for those days we didn’t want to pack up and head to the beach.
We will definitely be renting this house again!
Many people when they go to the beach they want to be on the beach but this property is on the river and it is amazing. Every night we got to see the sunset from the deck. It was so tranquil. It is a quick walk to the beach and the pool as well. Perfect size for a family or two couples.
Six of us stayed here just last week. We had never stayed on Kiawah Island before, but after this trip would definitely come back. AND we would stay at 89 Inlet Cove again. The back of the property faces the Kiawah River and has both screened in porch and raised deck. Our older children brought work with them and would take their computers to the porch and work facing the river and watching the dolphins. The beach is a very short distance away and once there, if you turn right, there are no houses, and the beach is never crowded. Even better, at low-tide you can ride your bikes down the beach and reach the Kiawah River inlet. Because of the community dock, we were able to rent kayaks for the full day (much better deal than for 2 hours) and launch them from the community dock. Although the place itself could use a minor bit of TLC, we would 100% stay here again - over almost any other place on the island.
Very comfortable home.
The owner was attentive to our needs.
Would love to come back
You pull into the driveway and catch a glimpse of the view and all of the big city stress melts away. This is by far our favorite location at Kiawah and the view over the river and marsh is spectacular. We watched a pod of dolphins play in the river while enjoying morning coffee. Bike rides, wildlife watching, after dinner walks along the beach, kayak trips along the river, and the all important re-charging of life's batteries for every day life. And it's only 23 miles from Charleston!
We can accept personal checks, VISA or Mastercard. Rates subject to change. Please contact me directly to confirm rates. (For example, if you rent 4-6 nights, the total rent may be less than quoted by VRBO).
