You will be staying in a spectacular Oceanfront Condo in a private gated community. There is a private deeded beach access trail that will lead you to the beautiful beach below. This private deeded access and limited accessibility to this beach from the coast and public accessibility makes for many a time that you will find yourselves the only ones enjoying this beach. The tide pools at low tide are pristine and an adventure themselves. There is whale watching and the best seat in town right from the balcony of this condo. You can hear the waves crashing and smell the ocean from your condo rental. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets always! CONDO HAS BEEN RECENTLY REMODELED, JUNE 2017, ALL NEW TOP OF THE LINE CARPETING/WOOD FLOORING.

Our "special free day offer" is when you book 6 days, you will get a complimentary 7th day at N/C.

The condo is very comfortably furnished. The sitting room has a leather/suede love seat and an easy chair/ recliner.

Queen size convertible sofa with an aerobed comfort feature for additional sleeping accommodations.

LARGE 50 INCH HIGH DEFINITION LCD TELEVISION WITH USB,PC-IN 'EASY LINK SETTINGS, DIGITAL CRYSTAL CLEAR! HIGH SPEED WIRELESS INTERNET WITH THE FASTEST INTERNET SPEED AVAILABLE. DVD/VCR PLAYER WITH RECORDING SO YOU CAN RECORD YOUR FAVORITE SHOWS/MOVIES WHILE YOU ARE OUT SIGHT SEEING! Both bedrooms have 40 inch high definition flat screen televisions. Television in the Master Bedroom is a 'Smart TV' which allows you to view the internet/your email on it.

For additional sleeping accommodations, there is double size, and two twin size aero bed mattresses available. Plenty of extra bedding and towels.

The entire condo is tastefully decorated with a nautical/ocean theme. Highest quality solid wood furniture throughout the condo with several very nice antiques!

The two separate bedrooms are located at the opposite end of the condo from the family 'great room' and kitchen. Exceptionally quiet sleeping accommodations 'away from the bustle' of the kitchen and family room.

Master bedroom has a private full bathroom (shower and toilet) and a large walk in closet. Second full bathroom (shower/bath tub and toilet) conveniently off the hallway close to second bedroom and kitchen/great room.

Luxurious high cotton count fluffy towels all replaced in 2014.New hypoallergenic down alternative comforters for each bed. Luxurious 'top of the line' pillows and mattress pads. Pillows and mattresses have been encased in allergen protection cases from the time they were purchased.

The kitchen is exceptionally well furnished with new stove and dishwasher installed in 2014. Large variety of top of the line pots and pans, cooking utensils, spices, ....everything one could need to cook a gourmet meal!

New top of the line Weber propane barbeque grill purchased in 2014 conveniently stored in a closet right off the balcony.

This unit is on the third (top) floor, an end unit and you will have all the privacy you want.We are located in the C Unit which will give you no street or city sounds, only the sound of the ocean waves breaking. Our building is the only one in the Rainbow Rock Condominium complex to only house 9 condos as opposed to buildings A,B,D, and E which all house either 12 or 15 condos.

You have a spectacular ocean view with large picture windows, and will have a breathtaking view while sitting and dining at the dining room table. The dining room table seats 6 with 6 chairs. There is also three stools with a breakfast bar.

WE WELCOME FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN HOWEVER THIS PROPERTY IS UNSUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER AGE 5.

The 4 of us were excited to leave the valley and escape work, but we had no idea we would be enjoying such great accommodations and what a view!

Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The condo's décor was lovely and so different that a typical "rental" or sterile hotel room. We really appreciated how well appointed the condo was in terms of having everything we needed/or wanted right there! The kitchen was especially well equipped,....Kirsten, you have thought of everything and then some!

The "boys" have discovered Salmon Run, the local golf course, and loved playing there. We look forward to becoming one of your "regulars".

We are located in Building C which only houses 9 condos in it. The other buildings in the Rainbow Rock Condominium Complex (A,B,D,and E) all house either 12 or 15 condos in them. Our location is a end unit on the top (third) floor. You will find your stay in our condo to be exceptionally quiet, private, with no sounds from other units or Highway 101.

Beautiful views

The very well maintained condo has picturesque views to experience all day long from the balcony. The trail to the beach is very easy to navigate and it's great fun to walk the beach at low tide. A walk to the beach at high tide is equally as enjoyable as the view with the ocean at your doorstep is equally awesome.

The town of Brookings is very nice but the restaurant choices are a bit limited. We went shopping at Fred Meyers for breakfast and lunch items which is like a Super Wal Mart. Everything you need, including a Red Box and Starbucks.

This is a great location for day trips and we especially enjoyed the boat ride up the Rogue River with Jerry's. The 25 mile drive north to Gold Beach may be the most beautiful drive we saw our whole trip. Gold Beach is a neat town as well.

You are only an hour or so down to some beautiful redwood country and national and state parks in CA. It's not as picturesque as the Avenue of the Giants but is not far off.

We spent one day on the Chetco River, about 4 miles north of Brookings. You can set your chairs on the shore and venture into the water. Either way you have a beautiful view.

stunning view

This was a great retreat; a short walk down to the beach, a hidden tunnel at low tide, lovely accommodations. I never tire of the view!

Last Minute Cancellation

After making the reservation weeks in advance, and finishing the full prepayment, I received an email message three days before our scheduled check-in that the owner was cancelling the reservation. The owner blamed it on "one of those life things." Renovations to windows and floors were blamed.

Frankly, things happen. I get that. But this was more than a mere "inconvenience." The owner knew, of course, that my wife and I were traveling across the country for the week we'd reserved the property. We'd made flight arrangements only after securing the property reservation. And to suggest that we rearrange our travel for different dates was useless.

We had to work hard, with some great help from VRBO, to find an alternative at the last minute. The alternative was cancelling, losing the airfare, and mangling our schedule. While the property may be delightful, I suggest you confirm that it is rentable and not under renovations before making a reservation.

Owner's Response: I pride myself on always trying to to the right thing with our rental guests. We are in the process of replacing all the flooring in the entire condo. When the carpet was pulled in the Master bedroom, we discovered that there had been failure around the frame of one of the last remaining original windows. We have switched out all of the other windows. In order to do the job right, we needed to replace the window first. The owner of the windows and doors business that works with our condos in Rainbow Rock has been, still was in the hospital suffering from a ruptured appendicitis. I contacted Mr. Peterson and was very sorry to have to cancel his reservation. I have never had to done this before during the 4 years that we have rented out our home as a vacation rental. I told Mr. Peterson that I would comp him 3 full days at N/C if he wanted to reschedule another reservation at a later date. I would have been more than happy to call other owners at Rainbow Rock who also rent condos and see if they had availabilty. Rental funds were refunded in full immediately. Mr. Peterson was not only very quick to a short temper and lack of understanding of events that had occurred beyond our control. He was insulted by the offer to comp him 3 days, and felt that in addition to refunding his monies, we should also compensate him for the inconvenience these plan changes brought to him. Meanwhile, we have rescheduled two other rentals, now have our calender crossed off through another month. The other two rentsl parties were appreciate of the comp offers and understanding about unforseen circumstances. We are a homeowner who welcomes and opens up their beautiful home to travelers. Not big business and also, take the maintainaince and constant improvement of our home very serious with quality material and workmanship. This is a classic example of the saying "you can please most of the people, most of the time, but not all of the people all of the time." Kirsten Hurst
