You will be staying in a spectacular Oceanfront Condo in a private gated community. There is a private deeded beach access trail that will lead you to the beautiful beach below. This private deeded access and limited accessibility to this beach from the coast and public accessibility makes for many a time that you will find yourselves the only ones enjoying this beach. The tide pools at low tide are pristine and an adventure themselves. There is whale watching and the best seat in town right from the balcony of this condo. You can hear the waves crashing and smell the ocean from your condo rental. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets always!
The condo is very comfortably furnished. The sitting room has a leather/suede love seat and an easy chair/ recliner.

The two separate bedrooms are located at the opposite end of the condo from the family 'great room' and kitchen. Exceptionally quiet sleeping accommodations 'away from the bustle' of the kitchen and family room.
Master bedroom has a private full bathroom (shower and toilet) and a large walk in closet. Second full bathroom (shower/bath tub and toilet) conveniently off the hallway close to second bedroom and kitchen/great room.
Luxurious high cotton count fluffy towels all replaced in 2014.New hypoallergenic down alternative comforters for each bed. Luxurious 'top of the line' pillows and mattress pads. Pillows and mattresses have been encased in allergen protection cases from the time they were purchased.
The kitchen is exceptionally well furnished with new stove and dishwasher installed in 2014. Large variety of top of the line pots and pans, cooking utensils, spices, ....everything one could need to cook a gourmet meal!

This unit is on the third (top) floor, an end unit and you will have all the privacy you want.We are located in the C Unit which will give you no street or city sounds, only the sound of the ocean waves breaking. Our building is the only one in the Rainbow Rock Condominium complex to only house 9 condos as opposed to buildings A,B,D, and E which all house either 12 or 15 condos.
You have a spectacular ocean view with large picture windows, and will have a breathtaking view while sitting and dining at the dining room table. The dining room table seats 6 with 6 chairs. There is also three stools with a breakfast bar.
WE WELCOME FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN HOWEVER THIS PROPERTY IS UNSUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER AGE 5.

The 4 of us were excited to leave the valley and escape work, but we had no idea we would be enjoying such great accommodations and what a view!
Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The condo's décor was lovely and so different that a typical "rental" or sterile hotel room. We really appreciated how well appointed the condo was in terms of having everything we needed/or wanted right there! The kitchen was especially well equipped,....Kirsten, you have thought of everything and then some!
The "boys" have discovered Salmon Run, the local golf course, and loved playing there. We look forward to becoming one of your "regulars".
After making the reservation weeks in advance, and finishing the full prepayment, I received an email message three days before our scheduled check-in that the owner was cancelling the reservation. The owner blamed it on "one of those life things." Renovations to windows and floors were blamed.
Frankly, things happen. I get that. But this was more than a mere "inconvenience." The owner knew, of course, that my wife and I were traveling across the country for the week we'd reserved the property. We'd made flight arrangements only after securing the property reservation. And to suggest that we rearrange our travel for different dates was useless.
We had to work hard, with some great help from VRBO, to find an alternative at the last minute. The alternative was cancelling, losing the airfare, and mangling our schedule. While the property may be delightful, I suggest you confirm that it is rentable and not under renovations before making a reservation.
Everything was just as it was stated in the ad.. Everything worked. We were very comfortable with no surprises. That is how we like it.
Condo was clean and very comfortable. If this condo is available, I will definitely stay here again. Thank you to the wonderful owners!
We stayed here with friends and thoroughly enjoyed this condo. The weather was windy and rainy but the building was quiet and cozy. We cooked most meals in and were able to find what we needed. The internet was very fast. As other reviewers have said the condo was clean, stocked with thick towels and tastefully decorated. Especially if you like seashells. We hiked nearby beaches when the storm broke each day and enjoyed chatting with the locals. We ate fabulous sushi and cheesecake at Cafe Kitanishi and outstanding tai food at Kuhn Thai. This was our first time visiting Brookings but felt like family. Thanks for the use of your property to assist in the making of great memories.
Beautiful, spectacular view! The property is located in a quiet, gated community. Parking is very close to the stairwell; there is also a garage you can use. We stored our golf clubs in there when not in use. We golfed a at Salmon Run, just south of Brookings, and Del Norte out of Crescent City, CA. Condo is on the third floor. Stairs are very easy to ascend, with wide foot treads and non-slip surfaces. Since, you're on the third floor, there are a couple of skylights that help light the place, which is nice. Condo was very clean throughout. The kitchen is nicely stocked with all appliances, tools, gadgets, cookware that you need. Crockpot included, which is essential for us. Small supply of spices, sugar, flour, etc. Coffee was provided. We mostly cooked in house, instead of going out. There is no ice maker, bring your own ice. The washer and dryer is always a plus. The condo is decorated nicely, with comforts of home. Throw blankets, comfy recliner, huge flat screen TV's in living room and both bedrooms. The master bedroom has a smart TV, so I logged into NetFlix. The internet is SMOKIN' FAST, a plus, since I have to work online always while on vacation. The master has a queen bed, a desk and office chair, windows with blackout curtains, a walk in closet with plenty of hangers, a connected bathroom with shower stall. Would be nice to have hand held shower heads installed in the showers. The path to the beach is paved part way, and well maintained with benches to rest on. It is fairly steep. The beds were firm but comfortable. The owners provide a lot of amenities, no chance of you running out of tissue paper, paper towels, etc. They even provide toothpaste! Small touches like this make a big difference when you are travelling. We have stayed at other places and had to re-stock all paper/laundry soap/dish soap etc. within one or two days. The view from the condo really is spectacular! We would go again, and would recommend to our friends and family.

Whale watching from the Rainbow Rock Condominium location is the best location in the area. You can see the whales right from your condo balcony often without binoculars!
The tide pools below the condo are absolutely spectacular and pristine.
