Why Di Barbour chose New Town
Warm, bright, comfortable and very central in a beautiful and very historic neighbourhood.

No surprises, everything as advertised or better. Our landlady couldn't have been more helpful. Would love to return. The neighbourhood was safe, friendly and attractive. Easy to access all the major sites of Edinburgh.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it Joanne. It was a pleasure to have you all to stay and you would be welcome back again any time.
All the very best,
This is a beautiful, clean and comfortable flat in an excellent location. There are lots of good books and excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the yellow folder. Communication was excellent too. We will definitely be back!
we had a very enjoyable stay at this property, we found everything to be as described, and would happily recommend it ..
Easy to rent.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it Angela. Come back again any time. You would be very welcome.
Very best wishes,
The flat is beautifully furnished and very well-appointed. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom, ensuite and cloakroom are a real bonus. The flat is incredibly well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is in a very quiet location yet only a twenty minutes' walk from Princes Street. There are several food shops just a short walk from the flat which cater for all your needs. We had a wonderful time in Edinburgh and it was a real joy to go back to such a comfortable and welcoming environment after a busy day of sightseeing. We absolutely loved the whole experience.
Wonderful flat and location
If you want to stay in a real neighborhood, that is close enough to walk to the Royal mile, in a large and comfortable flat, then this is your place. I should also add that there are many good restaurants and shopping near by as well.
Communication with Di was great. She provided complete instructions for check in and details about the flat. Her book on restaurants and things to do was one of the more complete we've seen.
When we return to Edinburgh we will definitely stay here again.
Thank you Tom for taking the time to write such a lovely Review for me. It is much appreciated. It was a pleasure to have you all to stay and I hope you come back again soon. You would be most welcome.
All the very best,
Cumberland Street is in the heart of Edinburgh's beautiful Georgian New Town. Due to the wonderful architecture in this area it has been declared a World Heritage Site! The apartment is also surrounded by superb antique shops, art galleries and many other specialist shops, as well as many, many bars and restaurants ranging from traditional to ultra chic.
All this, and you are only a brief 10 minute walk from the very 'up market' George Street followed by Princes Street, both offering everything a shopper could desire as well as many more bars and restaurants. A further fascinating 10 - 15 min walk will take you to the world famous Royal Mile in the Old Town and of course, Edinburgh Castle.
In the apartment, there is a folder which is full of information on things to do, places to see and places to eat and drink. You will NEVER be bored.
Other Activities: Stockbridge is a 5 min walk where there is a superb street market every Sunday which mainly offers delicious foods. Stockbridge also has superb specialist shops offering jewellery, arts and crafts, interior design, flower shops etc - lots of charity shops too if you like a rummage. Also, of course, more bars and restaurants to choose from.
