Fabulously funky basement apartment with its own entrance. Ideal for vacationing couple who want London on their doorstep. Complimentary welcome pack including wine, teas, coffee and snacks etc.
Ideal for business. Only a 10 min cab ride from Paddington with its express train to Heathrow airport.
Ladbroke Grove tube station is our nearest tube station and is a gentle 10 minute stroll away through a pretty local park with lots of flowers.
The studio apartment is small and compact, but has everything you could possibly need and is very, very comfortable. That's why it's "perfectly petite" - you'll love it!!
Keywords: Studio Apartment within a new basement, built by us 3 years ago. It is underground but very, very bright.
Married couple, Philip and Cassie live in the main house and they have twin daughters and a baby boy.
Philip McCabe purchased this studio in 2005
Cassie is a born and bred Notting Hill-er.
Very quiet residential street yet minutes from the hustle and bustle of the world famous Notting Hill scene.
Philip gave us a warm and early welcome that nicely accommodated our overnight flight just before new year's. We found the face-cloths in the bathroom a nice bonus! The flat was perfect for our three days in central London. The kitchen stools are really comfortable, and the bed easy to put up and down. The neighbourhood was central to a stroll through Nottinghill and Holland Park, where we found excellent shops on the main road, including lamb pie to bake at the longstanding butcher's, along with wine, patisserie elsewhere for our quiet New Year's eve. Wandering through Holland Park on New Year's Day to Leighton House and beyond was easy from this small and attractive flat.
My husband and I booked this place at the last minute and it turned out to be the best part of our arrival in London. The flat smelt great and was really clean. It also had new food (bread, milk, eggs, cheese and wine) in the fridge which we felt was so thoughtful, even though we couldn't eat any of it because we are vegans. We had just moved to London and we ended up staying in this flat for 3 weeks. As we were new to London, Philip had A LOT of super helpful information. Philip and his wife Cassie are wonderful and very welcoming and their children are adorable! This flat is "petite" but it is perfect for 2 people. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need for a short or long stay. The heat (which is included in the price) was amazing during the cold nights. The unlimited wifi worked at high speeds. The bus stop is a short walk from the flat and the #70 bus took us straight to Kensington High Street where we spent a lot of time shopping at Whole Foods Market. Overall I give this flat a 5 out of 5. The flat is very cozy, very convenient, and the owners are very nice. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it!
We had a wonderful time here. A bit "cozy" for the two of us (once the bed is down), but it certainly didn't impede us in any way. The neighborhood is nice and has been said, it's not far from the Ladbroke Grove or Latimer Road tube stops. We had a fun time at the Portobello Road Fair and would recommend getting to it.
Finally, Philip and his wife were wonderful. If (when, hopefully) we come back to London, this is where we'd hope to stay!
Amazing little flat located in a quaint neighborhood. Came here for our honeymoon.
Hosts are kind, friendly, personable, and made the whole stay very pleasant and memorable.
Comes with everything you need, and there is a little bodega store within a few minutes walking distance for everything else. Bus stop is right around the corner, and you can get anywhere you need to go. Can't wait to come back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thanks guys!
We had a fantastic time in this cute little flat! The owners are kind, personable people. I can't add anything more than what you've already seen on the reviews with the exception of one advice: do your laundry every night if you can, read the directions, and ask for help if you can't figure something out. I would be a fool not to give it 5 stars. I hope to return with my husband again. It was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!
Basement apartment with nice kitchen and one other room which has fold down bed. Tight quarters but very thoughtfully laid out and I found it fine for 1 person. Owner is responsive and nice. Quiet pleasant Nieth Kensington neighborhood close to tube station and bus lines Alao close to Portobello Road and a wonderful restaurant called Electric Brasserie. I would happily stay there again
