We purchased this practically new home in January of 2009. The winter climate is quite comfortable. We enjoy visiting the Indian pueblos and cliff dwelling and hiking in the nearby mountains. Entertainment complex is nearby and area swimming facility is 5 minutes from home.
James Eklund purchased this house in 2009
We have family in the local area.
Local sites, low cost of living, agreeable climate.

My family loved it here! The house and landscaping is wonderful. We also spent time walking around the neighborhood and there was plenty of space to run around in. Will definitely stay again next time we're in the area!
This was a great property for my family and I. Albuquerque is a good halfway point between my wife and I and our families, so we met in the middle for a long weekend. We brought our 4-wheeler along and spent a day riding in the national forest (only an hour away). We found that we could ride right the the property out into the dessert. We went on a number of rides exploring the dessert and riding down to the Rio Grande. The owners were great to work with and had the house stocked with everything we needed. The location was close to shopping and it was easy to get to the highway so we could explore the town. We are already considering another stay sometime next year.
I THINK THIS IS THE 5TH TIME WE HAVE RENTED THIS HOME. EVERY TIME WE ARE IN ALBUQUERQUE, NM. It is a wonderful place to stay. Great price, great service, great location..it has it all! Wonderful kitchen, great baths and bedrooms and a great lot to boot!
This property was one of the best properties I have utilized on VRBO. So relaxing and inviting and plenty of things to do. What a better way to wake up early in the morning and watch over 25 Hot Air Balloons ascend into the sky from the back porch. Convenient to shopping, restaurants and yes casinos. The owner is fantastic to work with. Should be no reason for any complaints.
We had an absolute blast staying at this property and working with James. We will definitely be recommending this place to future travelers. It is an amazing property at an amazing price. Thanks so much, James!!
This was the second time that I have stayed in this house along with my wife and her family. We had another fantastic stay...the house is just as described, it's very clean and comfortable and in a great location. That view of the mountains out the front door is awesome! The owner, James, was great about communicating with me and answering my questions. I highly recommend this property.
The area offers diverse landscapes depending on which direction you look. Lush mountains border the east of the Rio Grande Valley. Walks and horseback rides along the Rio Granderiver offer countrylike setting. Sightseeing in the painted dessert views near the Indian Pueblos, and cliff dwelling from centuries ago in national parks are some of the few outdoor activities. Museums and art galleries are particular to this area, with a lot of southwestern art. You can ski in the morning and be just a short drive away from 65-70 degree weather. Fishing, hiking, biking and picnicking are available in parks all over the area. Albuquerque and Santa Fe offer a diversity of cultural activities.
