Some details for your consideration:

The kitchen opens up to the Great Room. The Great Room is equipped with a surround sound music, and theater system with a 60' inch LED TV.

The master suite is an immense area-SO large that only the 60"' flat screen TV would be view-able in the suite. There are two large walk-in closets, plus a wonderful large dressing area.

Every bedroom is its own suite with an en suite bath and TV. The flooring in the home is exquisite travertine stone, and carpeting in the bedrooms. The private gated entrance looks into a beautifully landscaped courtyard featuring a fountain.

The casita (guest house) is a separate building in the courtyard and has its own entrance.

Walls of glass in the home look out onto the large PebbleTech pool and spa. Looking beyond the back patio and pool/spa area, you view the 13th green and 14th fairway on the Jack Nicklaus Tournament course.

We are local residents available for any problem. We are not absentee owners leaving you with problems that can't be handled. We also have a staff of repair people available quickly to repair any problem. Most other rentals have absentee owners.

We are listed with the city of La Quinta as an approved rental property which means we have fulfilled all the requirements of a vacation rental property. Be sure you check other properties--- For your protection, you should be sure that any property you are viewing is an approved vacation rental property by the city of La Quinta. This is a very important distinction to guarantee your stay to be the best experience possible.

What makes this estate unique

The weather is terrific!! Please see the above, listing the temperatures by month for the entire year. The golf is some of the best in the world!! You have your own private pool and spa. The house has a 'cool' easterly exposure. Be careful of a western exposure, because it is difficult to use the outside patio and pool in the afternoon---it can be extremely hot or too bright!! We know, we have owned 2 properties @ PGA West with a westerly exposure and it is very uncomfortable .

Amazing property at great value

We had an incredible stay at Terry and Linda's amazing house - the house was even more beautiful than the pictures suggested. I have been to many houses that look good but have low-quality furnishing - this was nothing like that. They had clearly invested in ensuring their guests have an enjoyable stay, and there was nothing more we could have asked for. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and were much needed after 3 days at Coachella.

Terry was also communicative throughout the process, and reached out with instructions a month before the stay. Terry also came by during the stay to make sure everything was alright, and responded to our emails/texts very quickly.

I would highly recommend a stay at Terry and Linda's, and we are already planning to come back again next year.

Great property for family gatherings

Extremely nice home that can easily accommodate multi generational family get-togethers. The house was very clean and well outfitted. Terry was on top of making sure that everything was to your liking. For a house that sees lots of rental, I'm impressed on how well the property is maintained. We've rented other properties in the same neighborhood and this home was by far the best kept!

Beautiful Home/Everything Advertised

Terry and Linda were great to work with! We live in Santa Rosa, CA where the fires came through in Oct. Most in our group had to evacuate their homes for awhile as fires came so very close. We originally were scheduled to arrive at the end of Oct but asked to reschedule our trip to another time. Terry was so very understanding and accommodating. The home, pool and view were all fantastic.

Nice home but not so pleasant experience.

Positives: Bright, spacious, comfortable home. Very clean, fully stocked home. Beautiful neighborhood.

Negatives: Communicating with the owner. It was a very unpleasant experience working with owner. Instructions left for us were very detailed, which is helpful, but too many instructions. Made me nervous I was going to do something wrong, per instructions. Made me hyper alert of everything we did in the home (electricity usage, water usage, etc).

None of this is Home Away's fault, but we will never rent a home again with VRBO or HA due to this experience.

Owner's Response: Confused! Here is what the guest sent me when they checked out: "We will be in and out all day tomorrow. Going to my cousins for dinner as well. House had been great. I have to say, the beds are very comfortable! Wanted to let u know the top drawer In the room with twin beds does not come out very well, so we didn’t use it. Just wanted to let you know. Very impressed by how clean this home is and the directions for everything were great! It’s a lovely neighborhood! Thank you. Then I get a 2 star review!!! We have had 95, 5 star reviews, and now this!! Anyone reading this should see through a guest that quite frankly should not stay in a home with A/C, pool/spa and other systems, as she said the pressure of doing things right got to her! Our welcome book has been in the home for 8 years and we never heard it was too difficult or it was stressful for a guest to understand things EVER before. This was a difficult rental from the very beginning; They wanted me to change my cancellation policy. Then they were going to bring 2 dogs, then they backed away from that. Then they lost the contract they were suppose to sign and send back. Then again they wanted to change the contract for a few more things. Then they said they wanted to pay me by check, but said there wasn't a Wells Fargo branch in their city--I checked and there were many. There were 61 E-mails sent between us for a 6 day rental!! I finally said , if you are unhappy then please cancel and I will refund you full amount paid--they said no! I have been in the vacation rental business for over 25 years and have never had as difficult of time with a guest!! We try very hard to deliver the best home for the very best price---but something like this was bound to happen--I guess. Please read all our other reviews to get an honest opinion of us and our home. And finally, they complained that their gas use was too high, here is my response, by the way they lost a remote control for a bedroom TV: "The spa heater was left on. See attached gas usage and note that after I shut off the heater, today there is negligible gas use. I will not charge you for the missing remote. Two days ago the house was cleaned and I had hopes the cleaners would have found the remote, they did not. I will be sending you the security refund today or tomorrow. Difficult rental for both of us."
