The location to the beach
The comforts of home just walking distance to the gulf
Crab rental was spacious for two and the kitchen had just enough space for food prep with a wide variety of utensils. Back deck was nice and propane grill was convenient. Quiet street 2-3 minute walk to a clean uncrowded beach. Plenty of towels and supplies for two people. The shower head was leaking, contacted owner and was fixed promptly. Owner was very accommodating working around our schedule. Would recommend to others and definitely come back again.
My daughter, her husband and her daughter stayed in the Turtle Cottage while my Best Friend and I stayed in the Lobster Cottage. Our stay was marvelous! The units were so clean and everything we needed was right there for us. Our trip wasn't for a very happy reason but staying at these cottages sure did help more than we can say! The beach is just a short walk and the sunsets can't be beat on Sunset Beach!! The Gulf is so relaxing and enjoyable ... Anyone looking for a place to stay while on vacation can't do better than these cottages! Even the neighbors were friendly and we felt very welcome in the community. You can be certain that I will be telling others about these places. We can't wait to make it back again and fully plan on staying in your cottages again! Thank you for being such a wonderful "landlord".
We loved everything about the Sea turtle cottage. Stayed for the long holiday weekend and were able to walk to the bars and restaurants. Great location and perfect size for 2 people. Brian was easy to get ahold of and work with.
Our last trip to Treasure Island was11yrs ago, our 2 children were small then. This was our first time back to the island to spend some time alone. We loved staying at the Fish Cottage. It was clean, quaint, very cozy and comfortable. We can't wait to return with our high school age children. They would love this place. Brian was wonderful and was very attentive to make our stay comfortable and one we would enjoy. We also left a parting gift of an umbrella & 2 beach chairs for the next renters. Enjoy! We highly recommend staying here! Thanks Brian! We hope to see you in the near future :)
I stayed in Parrot Cottage for the month of October 2012. What a delightful place, A very short walk to the beach, and there is a whole bunch of beach toys, chairs etc in the laundry. The house itself is cute as bug. All the stuff you need is there. The Jolley Trolly stop is just up the street, and there is also a 7-11 store a short walk away. Plenty of nightlife at Caddy and Ka Tiki, all within a very short walk. A great place for a vacation!
I just returned from 6 days on Treasure Island, Florida at The Tropical Fish Cottage. I usually stay at a family condo, but this time, our group of 4 needed more space. The cottage fit the bill! It is a very cute, 1-bedroom with a king bed cottage with additional sleeping on a pull-out sofa and a sunroom with a futon. The whole place has a ‘fishy’ décor that works in a fun way. It is just a block away is the most beautiful beach around, and even on a November week where the high temperature was 74 degrees, we were able to spend a couple of hours each day sitting out in the sun. The cottage is attached to the Parrot Cottage, which seems to be decorated in a similar manner – but with Parrots.
The cottage was stocked with all the glasses, plates, bowls, etc. you need, plus a few items like coffee filters, paper towels and toilet paper, so we could spend the first day there without having to run to the store to get those essentials right away. It isn’t fancy, so if that is what you are looking for, you should check out Mansions by the Sea or Land’s End, but if you want to be close to the action, and you like a little ‘fun’…this is the place. It is just a short walk to Caddy’s on the Waterfront, which is a beach restaurant/bar right on the sand. This is the perfect place for a beautiful sunset, and food, too!
I’ve always loved Treasure Island and this little cottage is a perfect place when you need to accommodate a few folks at a quaint beach place. If you have a bigger group, you could rent both the Fish and Parrot cottage and have a lot of space to spread out and enjoy your time at the beach. Perfect! That’s what it was ?
