The Killington Mountain House welcomes families, business's and groups of all ages (must be 18 or older). Get ready to relax and enjoy this very special 4000 sq. ft home that sleeps 32 + people. The house offers 4 bedrooms and a converted petite office area into 5th bedroom and additional small attic loft, 2 separate large living rooms with vaulted ceilings, bar, 2 decks, 3 full bathrooms, laundry room and this winter the garage will be converted to a 500 sq ft heated game room. We’re one of five homes on a ¾ mile long dead end street of which each home sits on between five and ten acres of property so you’ll have plenty of room to yourselves to relax and enjoy the great outdoors.


This gorgeous Vermont home artfully combines the best of both worlds with half the house being the original classic country feel of Vermont luring you into relaxation with rustic hard wood floors, exposed beam ceilings and a wood burning stove; while the other half of the home is a brand new, recently finished, SOHO style contemporary addition including 20’x27’ living area with a combined game room, bar, 60' TV w/sound bar-Netflix, 2 large sectional couches and private jet tub in the upper bathroom. So whether you want to read and unwind in an antique rocking chair by the fire downstairs or sprawl out on the sectional and take in a movie upstairs, this house has it all!

Not to forget that you’ll be staying on a secluded 6 acre scenic mountain view property with all the bells and whistles, including cable T.V., DVD, wireless high speed internet, grill, foosball table and large kitchen/dining room area with seating for 12 people and theirs a folding table that will accommodate another 6 people.

To help wind down, you’ll have a 7 person Jacuzzi in a private and intimate outdoor location on the back deck with picturesque mountain views. The hot tub is professional drained, cleaned and maintained between each rental group. Fresh water for a relaxing après soak...

Sleeping Configuration- 32 + People

There are six separate sleeping areas in the house of which some are more private others. The sleeping arrangement is as follows:

• 1 King Bed

• 2 Queen Beds

• 12 Full Beds

• 6 Twin Beds

• 21 Total Beds

First Floor Sleeping Configuration

+ Master Bedroom with attached full bath. In this room there 1 queen size bed and 2 bunk beds that have full size mattresses on the upper and lower beds.

-Total of 5 beds and capacity for 10 people (sleeping 2 people in each bed).

Second Floor Sleeping Configuration

+ Master Bedroom - 1 king size bed for a total of 1 bed and capacity for 2 people.

+ Petite Bedroom -1 queen size bed for a total of 1 bed capacity for 2 people.

-To get to this room you have to walk into the master bedroom. To obtain some privacy for Master Bedroom guest I have a decorative folding wall in the room that allows for additional privacy.

+ White Room - 1 full size bed and 2 bunk beds with full size upper & lower beds for a total of 3 beds and capacity for 6 people (sleeping 2 people in each bed).

+ Bunk Room (currently under construction) - 1 full size bed, 2 bunk beds with full upper & lower beds, 1 trundle bed with 2 twins (designed to be separated) for a total of 7 beds and capacity for 12 people (sleeping 2 people in the full or larger beds).

+ Small Attic Loft (off of the 'Bunk Room')

-Feeling adventurous- climb our secured oak ladder to a secret hideaway housing a small space. This is not the ideal place for anyone who is not comfortable climbing a 8 step ladder to get up and down from the space.

-Stored in the Attic Loft are 4 twin beds that can be used (if needed) anywhere in the house for a total of 4 beds and sleeping for 4 people (1 person in each bed).

About Vincent Connolly


Thanks for visiting the Killington Mountain House website. I've owned and managed this property since 2004 and it's brought great excitement for me and my family. I'm passionate about snowboarding, mountain biking and simply being outdoors- Vermont proved to be a very special getaway. Over the years I've called Killington and Burlington Vermont home and eventually made my way out west to Steamboat Springs and now Evergreen Colorado.

I manage this house with the help of a great team that includes my neighbor Gerald/Caretaker, Rose/Cleaning Lady and Andy/Handyman. I'm constantly upgrading the property to ensure that there is a great vacation experience for the families, groups and businesses that rent the property.

I've worked in the athletic/action sports industry for the past 25 years - starting at Princeton Ski Shop where I was the snowboard buyer and GM. Later I worked for Ride Snowboards as a Rep and then moved to Steamboat Springs to work for Boa Technology. My passion for snowboarding took me back to Vermont to work for Burton Snowboards and now I'm back in Colorado as the Global Category Director at Boa Technology in Denver.

My wife Moriah is from Morrisville Vermont and we have two children. Life is great and we get back to Vermont often to see family, friends and the Killington Mountain House.

This property has a big capacity for large groups with sleeping for 32+ people. It's been used for family reunions, business trips, sales meetings and of course family & friend retreats. 6 acres of privacy and parking for 10+ cars. It has the great blend of rustic Vermont in the original post and beam portion of the house and a more modern space in the upstairs living room/bar/game room with seating for 20+ to watch a movie on the 60' Smart TV with 1000's of movies to choose from on Netflix. If the weather is keeping you indoors - coming this winter enjoy the newly converted garage to 500+ sq ft game room with ping pong, mini basketball net and 50" Smart TV.

Great Experience with the owner and the property

Rented this home the 1st weekend of June 2009. Working with the owner was very easy, as he was quick to respond and very professional. (Due to my career, 90% of the communication was done via e-mail). The house was in excellent condition when we arrived. It was very clean, well organized and had everything you would need (towels, Toilet Paper, kitchen appliances, Stereos, firewood, etc.) The location was just as the owner had described - my group was looking for a large home, where we could spent evenings in the backyard without disturbing the neighbors.I've rented homes in Killington Vt for the last few years, but this was one of the best. Very satisfied customer.

We had a great stay

The house was large and comfortable. Close to the mountain. It was stocked with everything from towels to wood for the wood burning stove. We were very happy.

Helpful owner, nice property but very misleading

Vince was very responsive and helpful during the booking process. He gave me lots of details, always responded right away, and made the booking process very easy. The house was nice, we enjoyed the game room in the garage and the big living room with the bar, and we had a good trip, but the description he lists on VRBO is very misleading. There were only 3 real bedrooms, all of which were pretty small for the number of bunk beds jammed in, and the "petite bedroom" that he mentions is just the walk in closet in the master bedroom with a bed shoved inside of it and theres no door or window. The description also said there was an attic loft where 4 people could sleep if they climbed up a ladder, but there was no ladder and the "loft" was a tiny crawl space in the corner of one of the bedroom's ceiling. When I asked about it, he said they converted it to a storage space. I have no clue how 32 people could have beds. Also, for a house of this size and the number of people he claims it sleeps, the kitchen was very tiny and it was pretty difficult with only 3 bathrooms. I also thought the check out time of 10 AM was a little early. The groundskeeper came in at 10:15 and watched us pack up and rushed us to get out.

Every review is an opportunity for me to learn how to elevate my services and improve the guest’s overall experience. I’ve rented the house to hundreds of families, businesses and large groups over the years. I strive for excellent communication, clarity and thoroughness; as the reviews indicate this has been the case nearly every time. I am sorry to hear that your group felt the “description was very misleading”. I obsess about the details and have a rather lengthy description (possibly too much detail) to avoid any miscommunication. The opening description of the house is based on factual details: "Get ready to relax and enjoy this very special 4000 sq. ft home that sleeps 32 + people. The house offers 4 bedrooms and a converted petite office area into 5th bedroom and additional small attic loft." You mentioned “I have no clue how 32 people could have beds”. I do provide a floor plan that includes the rooms, specific beds in each room and the max capacity. This is also clearly described on the website. I provide the sleeping arrangement details for 32+ people: • 1 King Bed • 2 Queen Beds • 12 Full Beds • 6 Twin Beds • 21 Total Beds The combined full, queen and king beds with 2 people in each bed sleeps 30 people and the extra twins can sleep another 6 people. The reason I don’t market to sleeping 36 people is because the beds stored in the “small attic loft” are extra beds, in the event groups decide to take advantage of bringing additional guests. One of the bedrooms is described as a “converted petite office into a 5th bedroom” with a complete description that includes: "To get to this room you have to walk into the master bedroom. To obtain some privacy for Master Bedroom guest I have a decorative folding wall in the room." Your comments on the “kitchen was very tiny” is a head scratcher especially since I offer pictures and the specific floor plan. The kitchen as a percentage of the house’s total square footage is well suited and its has a custom farmhouse table that seats 14 people. I wish you would have asked for a late check-out. Without communicating your needs for a later check-out it is impossible for me to address this grievance. I’m very flexible and offer early check-in and late check-out times when the schedule allows.

Great house

I will highly recommended this house. It is very cozy and has beautiful views. My family and friends went over for the Christmas season and had an amazing time. The Killington mountain is practically around nd the corner. The house is clean and very well maintained. The owner is available by phone or text to answer any question you could have. I will definitely will stay over again if I'm heading to Vermont.
