Guest Review: We just returned from an eight night stay at this home and we had an amazing time. Anita was there to greet us and house smelled wonderful from brownies baking. The house is warm and charming and it had everything we needed. Anita is very thoughtful as she leaves all the essentials and niceties there for the guests. The house is very clean and the bedrooms/bathrooms are very spacious. The living area is fantastic and the fireplace warmed up the living space and made it very cozy. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishes and utensils. The home is a perfect location for major attractions such as Grand Canyon, Montezuma Castle, Sedona, etc. It is a great place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. We brought wonderful memories back and will certainly consider renting this house again.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"My husband and I rented this lovely home for a week's stay in the Sedona area. It was perfect --- roomy, comfortable, fully appointed with everything we needed and blissfully quiet. The home in Cottonwood is only 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Sedona and 15 minutes from the quaint mining town of Jerome, yet when out on the patio at night with a thousand stars all around, you feel like you are the only ones in the world. The location was excellent for the many day trips we made to hike in all directions. Anita is the perfect host and I would not hesitate to stay at this home again in the future."

Wonderful vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay in this beautiful home. Our first stay was two years ago, and we enjoyed it

so much, we decided to come back again and enjoy another great time. My sister and her husband

joined us this time and they were happily impressed at the comfort and amenities of this home.

We enjoyed spending even more time relaxing at "home" this time, and enjoying the beautiful back

yard with horses, cows in back pasture and birds singing, with a mountain view too. Wonderful privacy and quiet. The gas fireplace was so pretty and relaxing with extremely comfortable furniture in all rooms. The kitchen was fully equipped, and also enjoyed the BBQ out back. The beds were very comfortable too with nice mattresses. Such lovely spaciousness and comfort were so appreciated. We did return to our favorite restaurants in Cottonwood, and nearby Sedona for sightseeing, shopping and restaurants. The Grand Canyon was a nice day trip and well worth seeing. So nice to be close to all the activities and scenery. General shopping also was close and easy to locate (such as Safeway, Frys, etc.)

Anita, as always was very pleasant, helpful and answered any questions we had upon our arrival.

She again greeted us with warm, delicious brownies. Thank you again Anita for another awesome stay in

your beautiful, comfortable home. We look forward to returning again (for the third time!) next year.

Central location to explore the Verde Valley

  • 4 of 5

This home is situated in a delightful quiet rural area of Cottonwood. It was easy travel to Sedona, Jerome, Grand Canyon and Phoenix.

This is an older home that has been somewhat updated, beds are comfortable.

Anita was quick to respond to a couple of minor issues which were dealt with quickly. She even added a TV channel so we wouldn't miss Basketballs March madness.

The only issue we had was that there is no telephone landline in this home and the Internet connection is very slow and not 100% reliable. Not having cellphone access this could have been an issue.

We reccomend this property as a relaxing getaway.

Sedona Rental

  • 4 of 5

This was our first visit to the Sedona area and we were not sure of best location. As it turned out Cottonwood was a good choice. Close to Jerome and Sedona. The house was nice and Anita was very nice and helpful. The Tavern in Old Cottonwood is a great place to eat and also Hog Wild BBQ. We would recommend this property to a friend and hope to return in the future.

I’ve already booked my return!

  • 5 of 5

The rooms in this house were much more spacious than pictures can convey! The kitchen had everything we needed (not to mention the aroma of a fresh-baked pan of brownies on arrival!) I stayed for a month and had siblings and friends take turns visiting. We enjoyed the gas fireplace on cool nights.

There were lots of books and throws and pillows and comfy seating in the ‘TV’ room when we wanted to curl up and read or get online (or watch TV). There was plenty of room around the dining room table for eating or playing games too.

The location was perfect! Hiking near Sedona was just a 15-30 minute (spectacular!) drive away, depending on the trails we chose, and yet we felt mostly sheltered from crazy tourist traffic because we were in a quiet area in Cottonwood, where there were horses all around, and roosters to wake us up in the morning. We ate out in Cottonwood a lot – so many wonderful choices. And of course, the grocery is close by, as is everything else we needed. (Even Old Town was within a mile or two.)

Anita was the perfect hostess. (Did I mention the brownies?) She always responded promptly to phone or text queries. She wasn’t there to greet us (I wouldn’t expect that; actually prefer getting to settle in) but she called ahead to drop by one time just to see how we were getting along, and came by another time at our suggestion to check into something minor. (We couldn’t find the remote to the DVD-player.)

She provides countless brochures and books so that we could find quick answers to any questions. (For example, the Scat and Tracks book convinced us we had come across tracks from a herd of javelina on the Long Canyon trail!) The info on local restaurants and menus and park hours and trail books, etc. were very helpful.

I’ve already booked my return!

Great time in Cottonwood

  • 5 of 5

We rented Anita place in Cottonwood this past weekend and it was amazing. Upon arrival Anita was in the driveway welcoming us, gave us a tour and provided us with some freshly made brownies. How great is that!

The house was a short drive from downtown Cottonwood where we spent the day wine tasting and a have a great time with family.

We will defiantly be back to Cottonwood and Anita can expect a future rental out of us.

Lots of room for our family of 5. Nice quiet neighborhood. Could use some maintenance: rugs, blinds, recliner. Owner was very nice. Would recommend this property.

Owner's Response: Agreed! Previous guest's dog was rather hard on the blinds, and new ones are on order (wood ones this time). The rug has been removed and the chair fixed. Thanks so much for your patience! Anita
