Guest Review: We just returned from an eight night stay at this home and we had an amazing time. Anita was there to greet us and house smelled wonderful from brownies baking. The house is warm and charming and it had everything we needed. Anita is very thoughtful as she leaves all the essentials and niceties there for the guests. The house is very clean and the bedrooms/bathrooms are very spacious. The living area is fantastic and the fireplace warmed up the living space and made it very cozy. The kitchen is very well equipped with dishes and utensils. The home is a perfect location for major attractions such as Grand Canyon, Montezuma Castle, Sedona, etc. It is a great place to come back to after a day of sightseeing. We brought wonderful memories back and will certainly consider renting this house again.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"My husband and I rented this lovely home for a week's stay in the Sedona area. It was perfect --- roomy, comfortable, fully appointed with everything we needed and blissfully quiet. The home in Cottonwood is only 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Sedona and 15 minutes from the quaint mining town of Jerome, yet when out on the patio at night with a thousand stars all around, you feel like you are the only ones in the world. The location was excellent for the many day trips we made to hike in all directions. Anita is the perfect host and I would not hesitate to stay at this home again in the future."

Wonderful! Just another affirmation of what a great place this is to vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

After reading all the positive reviews, I can validate all that has been said. We are 2 couples- now retired- who have travelled the world together, renting houses and condos along the way. Most have been fine and met expectations but there's always the possibility of a "clinker" happening when you first open that door. Well, not this time! Upon opening the door, we were greeted with the smells of fresh baked brownies and the sun setting with beautiful views of the backyard and beyond, with amazing horses grazing in the field. This house will meet all the needs of 2 or more people and still seem to have plenty of room. It is clean, comfy, well stocked, and easy to find. Great location for touring the Cottonwood/Jerome area for sure.

Thank you Anita for making this all possible for us.

Very nice accommodations.

  • 5 of 5

Would rent it out again. Very clean, nice quiet area. Nice big kitchen area and dining room. Pool was a little chilly in February. Close to Sedona and other small towns. A lot of restaurants in area, shops and plenty of hiking. The scenery is outstanding.

Beautiful place and lots of room

  • 3 of 5

The ranch style home had plenty of room to roam. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was cooler temps in February, and very cool in the house even with the furnace on. The cottonwood area had some nice quaint shops and restuarants to visit. If you feel like adventuring then take 89 up to Jerome, you won't be disappointed.

Owner's Response: Oh no! I've never had a complaint about the heating before! Were you using the radiant room heaters also (better efficiency)? I was in my home right after your visit and had no difficulty keeping the temperature at 70. Please call!

Cottonwood VRBO by Adventures in Sustainability

  • 4 of 5

The home is spacious, clean and well cared for. Anita is attentive and eager to make her guests feel comfortable and at-home. We were a group of 4 women and enjoyed the kitchen for cooking most of our meals "in". Whatever we needed for cooking was easily found in the expansive kitchen. We appreciated the simple items being available for our use (olive oil, saran wrap etc) and the charcoal grill on the back patio. Couch in sunken living room is very comfortable and was needed for sleeping. We understood that there were 4 separate pieces of sleeping furniture as the listing states "sleeper sofa". Master bedroom bed is VERY comfortable and blinds keep the morning light out well. Anita had the carpets cleaned prior to our arrival and that was a blessing. The neighborhood proved to be very quiet and the house close to so many things. We enjoyed Jerome, Old Cottonwood (Nick's), Sedona (Pink Jeep Tour, shopping and hiking) and Phoenix (Musical Instrument Museum) from this lovely home. Keep up the great job, Anita!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much! Sorry about the confusion with the couch - I will change the information on the website. Thanks for all the goodies you left also - I'm still enjoying them! The category needs to read: sofas which are comfortable for sleeping! Come back any time! Anita

Comfortable Home

  • 4 of 5

Upon arrival we were greeted by Nancy who had prepared fresh brownies for us.

We celebrated our 2016 Family Christmas adventure here and found this home to be comfortable and warming.

We would stay here again.
