The home is situated in a secure location; a code is required for entry. Parking is available, as well as a swimming pool and a playground. The entire property is well-maintained and the neighbours are charming and helpful. A larger number of more current photos can be found on Airbnb. If interested, I can send you a link. There is a spacious and well-furnished kitchen, a guest toilet, washer and dryer, and small terrace on the ground floor and two bedrooms, each with their own bath, shower, and tub, on the 1st floor. One bedroom has a new, queen-size mattress and walk-in closet, while the other has a king-size, memory foam mattress with plenty of closet space. The accompanying bathroom has a toilet with a bidet seat, as does the guest bathroom on the ground floor. The bedrooms have wood floors, while the ground floor has tiled floor, which makes it much easier to keep everything clean. There are plenty of towels, etc. available. The transportation connections are excellent, nearly everything to see is no more than 20 minutes away. San Diego has a great network of highways! If you prefer public transportation, there is a bus stop just 5 minutes from the house. The border with Mexico is 20 minutes away, but please note that auto rental businesses require special insurance for trips to Mexico. This can be easily obtained at the border. There are fantastic golf courses in the area, the best known being Torrey Pines. One of the most beautiful and challenging courses in the world and it is not even a private club–tourists can play some holes here as well! It is easy to see why 90% of North Americans would love to live in San Diego!

My wife and I live in Vancouver, Canada and purchased a holiday home in San Diego for ourselves. I travel often for work and did not want to spend my leisure time in hotels. We can be reached by telephone or e-mail. On site, we have a very trustworthy housekeeper, who keeps everything spick and span. I am frequently in Germany, where I own a mid-size business. I also travel around the world twice a year and, for me, San Diego is one of the loveliest cities I have come to know.

Why Siggi Haas chose San Diego County

The house is in San Diego, that alone is reason enough. The house is the complete holiday package. All the closets are completely empty; our personal items are kept in a separate storage area. At many rental properties there is often hardly any room for your own luggage because the closets are full of the owner’s things. We have experienced this twice ourselves.

What makes this house unique

The weather. Any more than 10 rainy days a year is unusual! The home. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which guarantees total privacy for up to 4 people. The setting. The house is located in a secure, well-maintained community. Strolling between the homes here almost has a European feel to it! The pool and jacuzzi area are almost always empty, so they are practically your own private, luxury pool..

Ideally located for us.

The property was very clean and owner responded to requests very promptly. The home was a bit smaller than anticipated but worked nicely for my husband, my daughter and I who were attending our son's graduation in San Diego. Would try to book again should the situation arise for us to be in town.

Good

We had a Good trip, the house was clean and Nice. We had the pool and tub for ourself most of the time wich was nice.

We were woken up by the neighbors dogs at 6 am in the morning so we had a hard time sleeping. There were also a rooster that woke us up. ( There were at least 3 people with dogs) . The neighbor was also arguing at least every other day.

Other then that we had a Good trip , the area was Nice and safe.

Clean! Everything as Described!

We stayed at this property for a week and really enjoyed it. The townhome itself was very clean and well stocked, there were so many towels! The bedrooms were a good size and having a 3rd bathroom downstairs was very convenient. We enjoyed the pool nearly everyday and our son (18 months) had fun on the adjacent playground. We had a designated parking space but there was also plenty of guest parking. It was pretty hot the week we stayed so it was nice having an AC that worked very well. It was a short 20-25 minute drive to the zoo and to visit family. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Siggi!

Good location, clean, A+ Owners

We really liked staying at this unit. The unit was clean and had almost everything we needed for our week long stay in the San Diego area. We felt very safe in the gated community. The location to local attractions was really nice. The owners were quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had.

The only reason I gave 4 stars out of 5- I would agree it could use either another living chair or a bigger couch. Additionally a couple things out of control for the owners- we woke up to a local rooster starting at 6am each day. Maybe you can sleep through it (I could, hubby couldn't), and the neighbor dog gave us a few wake up calls too. Also if I had a young toddler I'm not sure this would be the right unit. The stairs would be difficult to make childproof and the top of stairs are right at the opening of the spare bedroom. We have a four year old and he was totally fine, I think it might have been rough with a 2 year old though. Also there were no plastic/not breakable glasses or dinnerware. We bought a couple plastic cups for the week out of concern we'd break theirs.

With all that said, we would absolutely stay again and plan on referring our friends to this unit.

Very Good Rental

We stayed at the above property while in the San Diego area while making visits to the hospital.

Very good very clean a little distant from the coast but in non-rush hour about 20 min.

Could use a few extra chairs but with a nice kitchen convenient washer dryer and good beds we enjoyed it. Rate was very good.

Not to be missed and no more than 20 minutes away: Balboa Park, Embarcadero, Coronado Island, San Diego Zoo, Wild Life Safari, Sea World, Old Town, various beaches, and a coastal road to La Jolla. Or you can drive to Mexico in just 20 minutes! San Diego has the best weather on the North American continent with summer temperatures of 25 to 30 degrees Celsius and winter temperatures that rarely dip below 20 degrees.
