This beautifully decorated home was built in 2005 with all the amenities that you will need on your vacation. Fully equipped kitchen open to living and dining room. Bright and airy with lots of room to relax.
Large screened in furnished porch off the living area and master bedroom. Upstairs loft area has TV,DVD, and Sony PS2 lots of books and games to enjoy, perfect for the young and young at heart to hang out. Very large yard, for that friendly game of baseball or football. If you feel like a lazy day, relax in the hammock in the private back yard. New back deck added in 2011 which adjoins the screened porch.
Outside shower with hot and cold water to rinse off after a day at the beach. Enjoy your morning coffee on one of the two porches or screened in back porch. Lots to do with 4 beaches close by. Shop in downtown Kennebunkport or visit LL. Bean in Freeport.

We are Steve and Gillian Draleau and we live in Massachusetts when we are not enjoying our home in Maine.
Gillian Draleau purchased this house in 2005
My husband grew up going to Goose Rocks beach each year. When I came here from Ireland and we got married we both enjoyed the beauty of the coast of Maine and most especially Goose Rocks Beach and the Kennebunkport area. After many years of looking we found our ideal place to build in 2005. It is less than 2 hours from our home in Massachusetts and we spend as much time as we can here in our haven or home away from home.
We love walking to the beach especially after dinner. We enjoy all the wonderful restaurants that are so close to us and walking around 'The Port' (Kennebunkport). It never gets old and we are always discovering something new. We enjoy going to Portland to catch a Seadogs game or live theater. LL Bean is a must at least twice a year for Steve
Had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend at this home. The location is great. Close to Goose Rocks, Cape Porpoise and Kennebunkport center, but also can take back roads to avoid going through Kennebunkport if there's traffic. Also took a quick trip up to Cape Elizabeth to see lighthouses... so pretty. The house is so spacious, quiet, comfortable and clean. The master bed was the most comfortable we have ever rented! Living room also comfy and love the screened in porch and deck. Gillian was wonderful, called to check in and just a pleasure to speak with. My only regret was not cooking more in the spacious kitchen! Maybe next time!
Not that this place needs another glowing review, but after just getting home from our wonderful stay there, I just have to do one. First of all, everything in the description is at least as good or better. For example, the screened in porch is much larger than I thought, with lots of seating and offers a nice view of the Fall foliage. The master bedroom and bath are very spacious and comfortable. As one family member said, "it goes on forever!" If you have kids, the upstairs loft can't be beat. Lots to do and great that it is open to the downstairs. The owner could not be nicer or more responsive and even had special "treats" for us when we arrived. There is no doubt that we all would love to stay here again.
Our family arrived to the yellow house in Kennebunkport for our very first trip to Maine. The house was clean, nicely decorated, and just a beautiful place to stay. The screened porch was our favorite place to relax. There were so many helpful hints on what to see, where to go, and what to eat in a nice binder on the coffee table. The owners were friendly and super helpful. We enjoyed our trip very much, and the comfortable house made that possible. We enjoyed the close proximity to Goose Rocks Beach and Docks Square. We explored all the little coastal towns, because the house is just centrally located to everything. Thanks for a wonderful stay, and we hope to return.
The owner is available and helpful. The description on site and photos are very accurate.Very comfortable, quiet and spacious. Near Goose Rocks Beach (easy to access and park). Lots of facilities nearby. I enjoyed riding my bike in the area every morning and the beach in the afternoon. The kids played basketball and soccer in the yard. We enjoyed cooking lobster and seafoods. Lots of good shack for food in Cape Porpoise and Kennebunk. I strongly recommend this place and we already plan to return next year.
The yellow house was exactly as pictured and described. We had a great time eating on the screened in porch, lounging on the hammock and reading in all sorts of comfortable chairs.
Goose Rocks Beach was fantastic with tides that exposed at least a quarter mile of beach and never more than a few dozen people.
Wow! This house was perfect for our extended family get together. The house was clean and just as described and as pictured. The owners were extremely hospitable. Kindly provided a booster seat for the house, so we didn't have to lug one, called to check in and make sure the house was up to snuff, and was super responsive to my several small suggestions to improve things. We loved the open lay out of the downstairs. The large bedrooms, with comfortable beds. There was a huge lawn for playing and star watching. The garage was chock full of useful beach stuff: large umbrella, sand toys, boogie boards. Just flat out really happy with our stay here.
The house was excellently located. Just a quick 2 minute drive to a Goose Rock beach, which is lovely and frankly a lot nicer than the Kennebunkport beach proper. An easy drive into town for some of the best ice cream I've ever had (Rococo Artisan Ice Cream. Yum! Went several times). And set back from the road, so it was very quiet and peaceful.
Thanks for a great stay. Would be so happy to go back.
One of the most pristine areas of Maine with many beautiful sandy beaches and top class restaurants. Many lobster retailers in the immediate area. Enjoy a sunset cocktail at several locations in Kennebunkport or at Goose Rocks beach 'Tides Inn'.
Goose Rocks Beach is a hidden jewel that has always been our favorite beach due to long sandy stretches for walks, safe swimming for children and of course exploring the island at low tide.
We are30 minutes from Portland with many attractions such as the Old Port, which is great for an evening or late afternoon stroll. We love to wander through the unique stores and eat at one of the many restaurants. The Portland Sea Dogs baseball team is a wonderful night/day out for the whole family. Tickets and food are very inexpensive, many well known major league players can be seen there from time to time. Visit LL Beans' flag ship store in Freeport under an hours drive. Our guest book has many resources for whatever it is you like to do on vacation. Did I mention great golf courses...
