Rough shores cottage
Very pretty spot ! Nice camp experience
The cabin was excellent; the mornings were spent listening to the water on the shore. Just what we were hoping for; the only downside was the mosquitoes
Can't wait to go again
What a great and unique place to stay for our Vermont getaway. The cabin is very comfortable and charming. We definitely did not have enough time there to enjoy all that it had to offer. We will be back.

This place is a gem! We’ve stayed in 10+ Lake Champlain camps and this one outshined them all. The photos really do not do the place justice. It’s a great spot for sunsets and easy kayaking. The dock is perfectly situated, the bedrooms are private and the decor is rustic. I’m jealous that my friends got the screened in porch room — it’s like sleeping in a comfy treehouse!
Rough Shores is on the shores of Lake Champlain with views of the Adirondacks. If you choose to move off the front lawn, the Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms, the towns of Middlebury, and Burlington are a short trip away. For those seeking a hike, the Long Trail beckons with the trailhead about 30-40 minutes to Camel's Hump or Mt. Abe.
Private setting, day hikes, great swimming and boating/paddling, sailing. Unimpeded views.
