A cozy cottage in the South of France ... where peace and quiet yet

Sitting under the big old oak tree can be seen in the south the silvery strip of the Mediterranean - on a clear day even the peaks of the Pyrenees. In the north, on the other hand, almost directly behind the house, the valley ends with an almost 200 m high rock wall, mostly wooded with oak trees.

Every now and then we hear the cry of the birds of prey, which nest in the rocks. Otherwise, as the biggest attraction: silence, tranquility and space that are in our modern, hectic world rarer. What's to be done?The hiking possibilities are ideal: the international GR 74 runs at 1 km from the house and there is a dense network of designated trails. Lakes for swimming, fishing, surfing and sailing as the 'Salagou', located 12 km of distance in the hills of red earth (typischfür the area). Its shores are still natural and you can see the fish shiny silver jump out of the water. Then there are rivers like the Hérault, Heric or Tarn, where you can canoe or picnic on the shore, with its impressive waterfalls and soaring vertical rock walls and old masonry arch bridges. There is the Mediterranean coastline with long beach beaches and marinas. Attractions Greek and Roman origin and from the Templier time. Finally, there are towns such as Montpellier, Nîmes, Beziers and Pezenas. It offers the colorful weekly markets to be in every village on another day.
