Great place to fish and relax. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay and the nightly campfires. Everything was perfect again.
Thanks Jim and Carolyn for being great hosts.

Beautiful cabin, beautiful lake - exactly what we were looking for!

My family just wanted a quiet extended weekend away before school started and Carolyn and Jim made this happen for us and much more. Not only were we allowed to arrive quite late, but the next day Carolyn gave us some great pointers on where to go in the area. The cabin has the perfect decor for getting away in the Northwoods and is situated within feet of the shore of Solberg Lake. The views at night from the dock bench were perfect and just seemed to wash away any care you may have had. My youngest daughter loved playing in the lake around the dock and my other daughter loved going into town to visit the shops Carolyn recommended. My wife just wanted a get away and she found a place where she is already trying to line a ladies getaway to. The best recommendation I can give is from my youngest when she said, "can we come back a few times next year?" Thank you Jim and Carolyn for opening up your cabin to us...
This was our 4th year here and we haven't been disappointed once. Fishing was good, weather was good, cabin was more than good, hosts were great and we will be back. A seven day week goes by way to fast.
The cabin is pure Wisconsin Northwoods, close to an 860 acre lake with lots of fish. The evening sunsets are spectacular! The cabin was clean, well supplied and perfect for our one month stay. Our hosts were very friendly and made us feel welcome If given the opportunity we would rent this cabin again in a heartbeat
My boyfriend and I rented this cabin/home for the 4th of July week. It was a very smooth process from start to finish. I had emailed Jim and called Carolyn with a few questions before we arrived and everything was taken care of. The cabin itself was more than we expected (the photos don't do it justice). Everything was provided including towels and linens. It also has an air conditioning unit. The bed was comfortable and we slept in the room facing the lake. We opened the windows at night and listened to the water crash against the shore and the loons that were right off the dock. It was pretty great!
We also fished pretty much everyday while we were there. The weather was a bit windy during our stay, so we didn't go out as much as we wanted too, but we were able to catch panfish off the dock. The boat landing is within walking distance and the dock is available to tie up too the entire stay. There was also a paddleboat, row boat, and canoe to use, but we didn't use any of them.
Jim and Carolyn were great hosts (thanks for sharing some beer with us Jim!) and we would love to come back and stay again either in the fall or next summer. The location was perfect, and the sunsets were amazing everyday! You won't regret staying here if you want to get a way for a week! We loved it!
