We are a family that has lived in many states over the last 6 years. We purchased our house in Indianapolis when my husband lived there in 2007. The house was completely gutted to the studs (was a duplex!)and we did most of the remodel work ourselves. We take a lot of pride in this house due to the sweat we put into it, and love to share our work with visitors coming to Indianapolis. Since then we have lived in Omaha, Chicago, and now we reside in Loveland, OH. I don't want to loose touch wiht our guests, so I manage our bookings personally. However due to the geographic distance, I have a local staff in Indy for cleaning and maintenance.
Ken Nachtweih purchased this house in 2008
After our house was on the market for almost a year, we decided this was the best alternative to selling. I wouldnt look back, we love the opportunity to offer visitors a hotel alternative in Indianapolis!
Brought a couple of customers to Indy for the Brickyard 400. The house was perfect for our needs, great condition, close to everything we wanted to do (convenient to downtown bars and restaurants and easy drive to the track). It was a great weekend and a great value.
We had a great experience at this property for the second year in a row. Location is close to a number of good areas in downtown. Ken is an outstanding host, easy to communicate with and address any issues you may have. I really enjoyed our stay and working with him. The only minor issue we had was the wifi was a bit spotty but outside of that this was an A+++ experience at the house and with Ken.
We stayed here with a family of 9 for Olympic Trials in Indianapolis from June 13 - 27. The stay was absolutely incredible and made everyone at trials jealous of our accommodations. They had everything available to make our stay perfect...coffee, condiments, trash bags, paper towels, tp, laundry detergent, dish soap, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, cooking spices, kitchen ware, plenty of utensils and cooking stuff, blender, coffee machine, kurig, bar-b-que with charcoals, the best blow up bed EVER...that never deflated. Gosh, I could go on and on. We spent many a night playing games, watching tv, just chilling out back on the beautiful porch. Even loved hanging out on the front porch and enjoyed the sound of the train. It was easy to cook food for all 9 of us (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and the amount of money saved not having to pay restaurant priced meals for 9 was very welcome. We had plenty of seating, and perfect sleeping arrangements for our brood. The neighborhood was very safe, and parking in front of the house was perfect. I truly cannot say enough nice things about our stay. Ken was extremely accessible and responded to any text messages immediately. oh...and we even had some items shipped to the house prior to our arrival and Ken had no problem with us coordinating with when he would be there so he could place in the house for us.
We were so close to town that a few of the people were able to just walk to town and shop/etc. Uber is also a super cheap option from this house that is super close to everything!!!
I was a little nervous after reading the rental agreement, but the house was wonderful. This was only my second time renting. The house was in a great location and the owner was great. I didn't want to bother him but on the last day, I couldn't find the garbage can. He was very helpful, nice and understanding.
Had a great stay!!! Hoping to do it again next year!!! I would refer this house.
We just got home from an amazing weekend in Indianapolis, where we celebrated a bachelorette weekend. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. We had seven girls stay two nights and the house was in a great location, literally minutes from everything happening downtown. I initially had trouble with the keypad to unlock the door and the owner of the home answered my call and walked me through opening the lock and turning off the alarm system. He was also very prompt with returning emails. Overall, the house was great and I'm already planning a couples trip back to Indy where we will rent this house again!
Ken was great to work with. The place was clean and offered plenty of room for everyone. Blow up mattress helped for extra bed and the pack and play was great. Would defiantly come back.
