Ideal place to stay for families exploring Cape Cod

  • 5 of 5

10 good reasons why this is an ideal place to stay (or was for us anyway!) ...

1. Manomet is easily reached by car (and away from all the jams further south) and the house has easy parking off the road. 2. The house is set-back from the road so it is not overlooked and the lawned and planted garden to the front gives even more sense of privacy 3. The bedrooms have AirCon which, together with fans on both floors and netted doors and windows, keep the house cool day and night. 4. The rooms are a good size with double/twin/single bed separate rooms giving good sleeping for a family of five. 5. The house is clean, orderly and well-equipped with everything you need for self-catering and relaxing. 6. The porch is very spacious and has loads of space and seating for everyone to chill. 7. A short walk takes you to a lovely, quiet beach which is good for walking, sun-bathing and swimming. 8. There is a Stop & Shop supermarket 5 minutes down the road and there is fuel and a good choice of places to eat along the way. 9. Plymouth is within 15 mins easy drive to the north offering fine attractions to explore - the pilgrim settler story, whale-watching, eating etc. 10. The same road in a southerly direction takes you all the way round Cape Cod to Provincetown for a good day out.

Bonus: Steve and Dina leave you to yourselves but are lovely people to meet and really helpful to deal with before and during your stay.

All in all, lovely accommodation highly recommended at such a reasonable price. : )

Owner's Response: Kevin and family were wonderful guests! They took full advantage of the location to see and do all kinds of things in Plymouth, Boston and on the Cape. They left the place immaculate and adventured to New Hampshire after their stay. We truly enjoyed having them as guests and were thrilled that they came all the way from England. HomeAway enables us to meet such interesting people!

Best Possible Rental in Plymouth!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed every moment of our stay in this cozy home. We spent a lot of time on the front porch, walked every day to the quite, private beach, and slept well in the comfortable beds. This house is immaculately clean and equipped with everything you need to make your vacation memorable. We spent time exploring the Cape, Plymouth, and even made it in to Boston a few times. The owners make renting this home a seamless process. The home is even more adorable in person than the pictures convey.

Beautiful Home with all the Amenities

  • 5 of 5

My family and I absolutely adored this house! It was clean, spacious, and meticulously equipped with everything needed for a perfect family vacation. The owner was prompt in all correspondence and patiently answered all of my questions prior to booking. Upon arrival we fell in love with the front porch and spent most of our time there. The location is perfect and centrally located for the day trips we took to Boston, Provincetown, and Nantucket. And of course there was plenty to do in Plymouth and the immediate surrounding area. The beach...a short walk down the street...was a little rocky, but never crowded. I hate to say too many good things about this house because I don't want it to fill up next summer before we get a chance to return!

Great Location!!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay - the house was close to the private beach -only a 2 block walk! While the beach could be a little rocky at high tide, it was just wonderful at low tide. Our dog Larry loved the beach - it is very dog friendly (early in the morning it is just dogs and their owners).

Manumet has a bunch of new restaurants. We loved Aroma, and the Rye Tavern. We did go into Plymouth once - but found that we could find everything we needed locally!

The only request i would have is if there was a flat screen TV - this way on the rainy days we could connect our ipad to stream TV/Video!

Thanks again for sharing your house - it was great!

We had a great couple of weeks!

  • 5 of 5

The house was wonderful, as good as the pictures are they don't do it justice. We loved the wrap-around porch. The house was comfortable and tidy. Everything we needed was in easy access. And the management could not have been more responsive when we had an issue or question.

We also really valued the proximity to Cape Cod: we could get everywhere we needed and then get back to someplace quieter and more relaxing.

I would highly recommend this property!
