Guestbook comments from the manager

Guest Book Word for Word quote: I can not even begin to tell you how much we enjoyed the Cabin. It is cozy, beautiful, loved the Hot Tub (The boys loved the gameroom). On our adventures here we started at the Polar Express Train Ride! This was Great!!!!! Went river fishing - my Husband caught a 22 inch rainbow trout. It was unreal, the Boys wanted to fish the rest of the day. We went to GSMNP and it was the first time the boys saw snow and ice, Wow, were they excited! Thank You for your hospitality, we enjoyed everything and we will be back.

The kids wrote a little note of their own that said "The Big screen TV and reclining sofa were extra comfy"

Picture Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time in this cabin that will leave you with the feeling of pure relaxation. There were many things to enjoy but the balcony will be the most memorable because after we left she is now my lovely fiancée. This cabin was a great deal and a cherished memory.

Very clean, beautiful views, hot tub awesome

  • 4 of 5

Very clean and comfortable beds. The view of the mountains is spectacular. Could have used an air conditioner on second bedroom upstairs...good thing we brought an extra floor fan. A few dogs running wild when my son walked down the mountain, so carry pepper spray or a steak bone... they arent nice dogs. No internet either which disappointed me bc I wanted to get some work done. Otherwise very clean and great location. I would def refer a friend.

Owner's Response: Dear Barbara: Thank you so much for the wonderful review of Up, Up, and Away! We take great pride in the cleanliness of our cabin and hot tub and are so glad you enjoyed them so much. The view is just an extra special amenity that we are grateful and amazed at the beauty of it. We very much appreciate that you would be willing to refer others to our cabin. As the owners, we are so appreciative of the wonderful job that our rental agent, Kathleen, does for us. We give her and her staff a 5 star review! They have thought of everything to help you with your stay so that you can learn about the area. There is a very detailed Welcome Book that explains all the rules and gives an overview of the area, including the property in our development that includes hiking trails and the fishing pond. There are approximately 50 pristine acres to roam as green space and is at the top of the mountain. The area that you talked about is a public road that is down toward the bottom of the mountain and is used to get to the cabin. It is not a part of our development or close to our cabin. We thank you for your suggestion about the AC. We have AC in other rooms, overhead fans, an extra-large floor fan, and a portable fan in one of the closets. Many times it is not even necessary to use the AC because of the wonderful breezes and shade at the top of the mountain. In the Welcome Book, there is information regarding a hot spot/jet pack that you can rent through the rental agency and they will provide you with a Wi-Fi Box. We are sorry that you didn’t see that information. In closing, we would just like to reiterate how accommodating our rental agent and her company are. They are only a phone call away and have always responded promptly to anything that our guests have needed or had questions about. We hope that this clarification has been helpful. Again we want to thank you for choosing Up, Up, and Away out of all the cabins in the area and are glad you enjoyed your vacation! Janice and Mike

Owner's Response: Dear Curtis, Thank you so much for your generous five-star review of our cabin. It never gets old and thrills our hearts to get these good reviews. Not only because it makes us happy that the cabin met and exceeded your expectations, but it is wonderful to know that your vacation was everything you wanted it to be, and we were a part of that! Thank you that you are willing to recommend us, and we hope you will be able to come back again sometime. The view is truly one of a kind and it is very hard to pull out of the driveway and leave that view behind! Thanks again, Janice and Mike

Great and quiet cabin

  • 5 of 5

View..amazing. Cabin..nice and clean. Linens..wonderful. Bed..too soft. Kitchen..equipped except there was no soup pot of any size. Single, curvy lane to cabin off of dills road..nerve racking due to the potential of encountering a vehicle approaching in the opposite direction. The road mirrors were a huge help. Kathleen was quickly responsive and knowledgeable.

Would definitely come back!

The views were absolutely breathtaking!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Up, Up & Away. The views were stunning, everything was clean and appointed with everything we needed for our weekend. We especially loved soaking in the hot tub after a day of outdoor activities. We were in town for our son's survival class at Nantahala Outdoor Center which was 8 short minutes away. Very convenient. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We are glad to hear you enjoyed the hot tub. Like you, I really like my "hydro therapy". We will keep the hot tub sparkling, and hope you book your return trip soon! Kathleen - Property Manager
