Puerto Vallarta is our favorite vacation spot. The city has wonderful restuarants, very friendly people, great weather and beauty every where you turn.
We had a wonderful time celebrating a wedding in Puerto Vallarta with our friends. This home was stunning. Excellent views of the city!! An easy walk down to all the shops and restaurants. We loved the meals that were prepared each morning and also hired the chef to cook a meal for us Friday evening - well worth it! If we make it back soon we will definitely try to stay here again.
We loved this house - or villa, as our friends said. There were only 6 of us, so it was HUGE. We heard a party of 20 had been in the place before us. We spent a lot of time in the pool and all of our friends staying elsewhere loved coming over every day for afternoon margaritas. THE VIEW IS UNRIVALED. It was NYE, so watching the fireworks from the balcony off of the HUGE great room, was amazing. But honestly there were fireworks pretty much every night (though not as lengthy a display as NYE). All of the bedrooms are spacious, especially the Master with the king bed, and a walk in closet that could have fit another bedroom. The highlight of the trip was the staff. Adela, our chef, greeted us (along with David the property manager) with guacamole, salsa and a pitcher of frozen margaritas. Adela cooked 4 breakfasts, which were AMAZING - her potatoes rocked my world - and one dinner for 14. SO YUMMY. Adriana kept our beds made, towels in plentiful supply and was always there to greet us with a smile. David was the best! We did have some problems with the hot tub working, and while it wasn't fixed, David was ON IT. The holidays made it hard to get someone in before we left. Regardless, we had a great time. The hill is VERY steep. Some of us had issues getting up it, but Ubers were cheap and easy to grab to make it up the hill. But the best part was that there is a restaurant right at the base of the hill called Los Lirios (the Lilies) that served the most amazing Shrimp tacos and fish empanadas. It's located in a house surrounded by trees, so it's easy to miss. BUT DON'T! A taco stand for late nights was also open on corner as well - just watch out for the hot sauce if you're a novice. The stay was amazing. It was my 50th birthday, and I can't stress how wonderful the owners and management were to us. And I can't wait to return to Puerto Vallarta. ~Matt
The house is ideally located - just a short walk into old town and the beach. As mentioned in other reviews, it is at the top of a steep hill, but most of my party was easily able to make it up and down and for those who couldn't, cabs are easy to come by and cheap. The positive side of that hill is the gorgeous views it affords and with the large windows and decks, and even from the pool, you can soak up the scenery. We were a party of 7 adults and three toddlers and the house was the perfect size. The morning breakfasts were a highlight as the cook is fantastic! The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The main living room has an epic brick ceiling and plenty of seating, along with wifi. The kitchen is fully outfitted and it's nice to have a washer and dryer at your disposal. We had a wonderful time at Tres Vistas and would highly recommend it.
I stayed at Villa Tres Vistas for 8 days at the beginning of May. We had 4 couples and 2 singles.
The top level is spectacular, with soaring ceilings (higher than I've ever seen in a house) and amazing views of the bay and the mountains. It was a great common space to meet up after a long day out in the sun. The only thing I would wish for is more seating. The dining table had seating for 8, but the living room area only had seating for 4 (two end chairs and one 2-person couch). I was told that they were expecting a new sectional for the living area.
The private pool is an infinity pool with hot tub with a super view of the city and bay. You have to wait a bit for the hot tub to heat up, but once it's going, it's pretty hot. And there is a gas fireplace at the hot tub to provide mood lighting.
One level down is the ginormous master bedroom with en-suite bath and HUGE walk-in closet. The master has a balcony that looks out the same direction as the upstairs living area. There are two other bedrooms on this level, which don't have any views and share a bathroom.
The bottom level has two bedrooms, one with an en-suite bath, and one that uses a hallway bath. These two rooms are directly under the master bedroom and share a common balcony.
Adela is the cook - she prepares a simple Mexican breakfast every morning (except Sunday). She doesn't speak any English, so brush up on your Spanish or use Google Translate.
Adriana is the downstairs housekeeper who comes every day (except Sunday) and changes the sheets and towels.
David is the concierge and is fluent in English. He is available by phone, email or text to help with planning any activities.
The air conditioning in the master and the living area worked REALLY well and kept us nice and cool. The wifi only works on the top level. It would have been nice to have been able to use it downstairs, but the building is constructed with lots of concrete, so the signal doesn't pass through the floor very well.
Be warned, there is a VERY steep hill for one block leading up to the house. It's pretty exhausting to climb, especially in the heat of the day. But it's a great way to work off those extra margarita calories!
Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and I'd highly recommend Villa Tres Vistas to anyone looking for a group getaway in Puerto Vallarta.
Beautiful, well-appointed property just steps away from the beach and nightlife. The home has a commanding view of the city and the ocean. The daily breakfast was delicious as were the 2 dinners we requested. I am looking forward to scheduling my next trip to PVR.
We had a wonderful time! Adela was amazing and cooked us a wonderful breakfast every morning. David was at our disposal for everything we needed and was friendly and responsive. The views from the house were spectacular and the location is ideal for those that want to be in the middle of Old Town nightlife. I will never stay anywhere else when in PV!
