About Richard Stamp

I am a retired business man from the POS/cash register industry. I now manage our 4 vacation rental properties and try to find time to golf and travel with my wife. My wife, Deb is a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Richard Stamp purchased this cabin in 1986

Why Richard Stamp chose Pinetop-Lakeside

The location is incredible as it backed by National forest and is at the end of a cult-e-sac. It is very quiet and peaceful with great views into the forest from the covered deck.

White Mountain Cabin

The cabin was very comfy and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. We "Goddesses" are aged 71 to 88 years of age so the only disadvantage was the stairs. However we would definitely recommend it to others. We have been going to Fall Festival for 15 years. There are so many great shops and restaurants to visit.

Wonderful getaway retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at the Log Cabin for an extended weekend and had a wonderful time. The kitchen was well-stocked. Although we did have to make a quick run into town for garbage bags and toilet paper, the owner assured me that was due to a new cleaning lady and not typical. We spent the majority of our time outside in beautiful weather and loved the back deck and patio. It backs immediately to the national forest so you feel completely removed which was wonderful. We met two sets of neighbors who were very friendly and helpful and the neighborhood was great for walking and riding bikes. We used the National Forest trail system several times during our stay for walking and riding bikes and the area if truly beautiful.

I would use this cabin again anytime. It was comfortable, clean and a perfect weekend retreat!

The cabin was cozy but large enough to fit our family of 12 from ages of 56-5. Everyone was very excited to see the woods right off the back yard. Fire pit, new brick patio with wood for a fire was awesome. Felt like we were alone because the cabins surrounding us seem to be vacant. Great surrounding space to go for hikes. We found several pound, ran across a few neighbors that were very kind. The cabin was equipped with everything needed, but i do recommend newer pots only because i had to clean out rust. Also a few extra rolls of TP would have been nice.Locals were very kind from Walmart to Boot barn. Beautiful way to spend Easter with the family.

Owner's Response: I just recently purchased a new set of high quality stainless pots and pans and will be taking them up to our cabin the next couple of weeks.

Amazing family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We just got married and decided to celebrate by renting out first vacation home ever. We weren't sure what to expect but our experience was great. We were pleasantly surprised at how big the cabin was and how well Equipt the home was it has literally everything you need from dishes, pots, spices and more.

There was a welcome book for new guest which I do recommend reading as it has directions on how to keep the home warm and how to operate the fireplace, firepit, and tv. Upon our stay we were lucky enough to have rain 2 days, snow 2 days and 2 days of sunshine. Since we weren't used to being in the snow we did have issues keeping the home warm we called the owner and he resolved our issue with in minutes. Once we learned how to keep the home warm we were in heaven.

The grandkids loved the atv trails, the game room and the firepit. I loved everything about this cabin we couldn't have picked a better place! The neighbors were friendly and helpful as well! We are now making this a family tradition and plan to visit every year on our anniversary!
