This vacation home was the perfect get-away for our family reunion of cousins. Our favorite part was the huge screened-in porch across the front of the home as well as a smaller one in the back facing the scenic lagoon. It's on a quiet cul-de-sac in an immaculate neighborhood and we walked to the beach in a matter of minutes, while the pool is even closer. This home has all the amenities you could ask for and more - outdoor grill, washer and dryer and a well-appointed kitchen. There was plenty of room to sit and eat at the large round table in the dining area. The fact that it's located in Wild Dunes is another plus - plenty of trails to ride bikes exploring Isle of Palms and close to golfing.
A friend of mine was getting married in Wild Dunes and my husband and I wanted to find something nearby that was spacious and comfortable to rent for half of the week and weekend. I had the fortune of finding 8 Pelican Reach; this property is within walking distance of the beach which and incredibly beautiful. All of the furnishings are tasteful and in great condition, and all of the appliances that we needed were provided. This really made us feel like we were at home. I absolutely loved the decking; there is a large front porch as well as a screened in deck on the second story. There is also a screened in porch at the back of the house that is perfect for sitting outside and listening to the crickets without getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. There is something so Southern-gentile about a well-built deck on a beautiful house and 8 Pelican Reach certainly owns this characteristic. This rental is ideal for families as well as romantic get-aways for folks looking for a little more space and comfort. Because of how much we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I would recommend this property and will certainly be heading back next summer!
