Our family had a great time in your home. We loved the setting and the pool. The kids loved biking to the end of the road each day. We'll see you next year!
Our family of 5 - two generations - enjoyed a relaxing week at this peaceful and large Frelighsburg property. The house was very clean with excellent beds and bedding. Everyone enjoyed swimming in the pool and walking to the pond and our youngest family member had fun catching frogs. The adults enjoyed relaxing on any of several balconies and chatting or reading in the quiet surroundings. The local grocery store kept us well stocked and there are several pretty towns in the area to explore. Recommended!
Thanks for the wonderful location and lovely setting. Our family love privacy, comfort and quite. This is exactly the place for us. We enjoy smelling the pure fresh air, listening to the birds singing in the morning and evening. We like to take a walk in the private trail in the forest or walk up to the mountain, kids like to bike in the garden and play in the pool. I like to sit at front deck with my morning coffee and watch the birds in the garden and sunlight on Pinnacle Mountain. It is so relaxed. My husband like BBQ for dinner, it is easy to get grocery in the village and there is Farmer’s Market at Saturday morning with local product. We bought a lot of fresh vegetable and few bottle of honey. We never see that small carrot with leaves and tested different kind of honey. We also enjoy the local wine, there is more then 10 wine manufactory around, we enjoyed free wine and cheese tasting in the vineyards and bought some back… It is a wonderful vacation and we will go back.
Thank you for the wonderful accommodation. The privacy of the location, the fresh air, the setting and the huge garden. We had a great time and hope we still on vacation.
Art, Nature and Heritage.
From Frelighsburg official web site: 'Recognized as one of “The Most Beautiful Villages in Québec”, Frelighsburg is a classic Loyalist settlement that blends historic charm with a vibrant and active community that includes many artists. Nestled in a rich apple-growing valley on the Pike River and at the foot of Pinnacle, Frelighsburg is home to a well-preserved architectural heritage in a superb natural setting.
Originally occupied by native Abenakis, Frelighsburg was settled in the late 1790s by American Loyalists, including Abram Freligh a physician of German origin who moved from New York State. The mill built by his son in 1839, along with several other historic 19th century buildings, are considered historic monuments.
