Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed at this lovely vacation rental in Minneapolis for two weeks over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were delighted to meet Margots and his wife Anita. They were wonderful hosts who saw to our every need. Margots picked us up at the airport when we arrived and took us back when we left. He also provided us with a car to rent which was convenient and very reasonably priced.

The one bedroom apartment is truly lovely! The kitchen is filled with exquisite pots, pans, dishes and modern appliances just like home. We made our Thanksgiving dinner there! The bedroom has a beautiful antique four post king size bed. The living room couch also makes into a bed and the bathtub is a jacuzzi. In the bathroom are top of the line washing machine and dryer.

We are looking forward to seeing Margots and Anita again and staying at their vacation rental when we return to Minneapolis.

Relaxing weekend in the cities

  • 5 of 5

I can't say enough nice things about this apartment. The deck was our favorite spot all weekend. We had lunch outside every morning and relaxed out there every night. There is even a grill which we didn't use, but next time we definitely will! We joked about how it was 10 minutes driving time from everywhere we were going to spend time, but it literally was! 10 minutes from the restaurant we wanted to eat at, 10 minutes from the Art Institute, and 10 minutes from our friends' house. Perfect location to get downtown and a beautiful neighborhood. There was always a parking spot on the street directly in front of the house. Even though it's in the flight path of the airport, the only time we hear airplanes was when we were outside, and it wasn't loud at all. The coffee and fresh fruit left on the counter was a great touch. There is a wonderful array of maps and take out menus from local places in the desk. We ordered takeout from Gandhi Mahal the last night and it was wonderful.

The only complaint I had was that the fan wasn't working on one air conditioner and the one in the bedroom vibrated the window so it was very loud. I e-mailed Margots to let him know and he responded that they would be replaced this week. That is some fast service! He also sent e-mails before we arrived and throughout the weekend letting us know about restaurants, the farmer's market, and other must sees. I have stayed at other VRBO properties, but this was by far the best experience. We will be back!

Great apartment!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first AirBnB experience and it was wonderful. We were visiting family who live a half a mile away and this was a great location. There were many charming cafes, bars, and restaurants in the area and many choices. The neighborhood was very nice and safe. The apartment was just great: very clean, spacious, well-appointed. and very comfortable. It was nice for us to have our family over for appetizers before dinner out; there was a lovely living room and deck to relax in.

We did not meet our hosts but communication by email was excellent and prompt. We had no problems at all with check-in and check-out. We are looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to Minneapolis.

My Sisters and I did this on a weekend get away and had a blast we would have never had to use our car!! We rode bike to Lake Calhoun to paddleboard, the twins stadium to see a game, Uptown to eat, the Stone Arch Bridge to take in an art show and in the evening when we wanted peace and quiet we had our own private balcony to relax on!! Margot made sure our stay was relaxing and it truly was!! I will come back!!
