The Eagle's Nest is a beautiful, family owned beach house, right at the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Having a NO PETS policy allows us to maintain our property in pristine condition. The Eagle's Nest is cared for with pride, decorated in a cozy beach feel, and celebrates the history of the area. The house, with it's amazing 180 degree views, is built on the exact location where the southern wing of the 3 story, 270 room Moclips Beach Hotel once stood in the early 1900's. They knew something about location back then too! With more choices emerging at the beach, we pride ourselves in providing an atmosphere that keep our guests returning year after year.

Our large open floor plan is perfect for family vacations and has proven to be an exceptional retreat for families, quilters, scrapbookers, book clubs and more. Our private sleeping areas pamper you with quality linens and comfortable beds. Our goal is to make you feel so 'at home' you won't want to go home. Curl up by the fire, host a holiday dinner in our well-equipped kitchen, do a puzzle at our game table, or watch movies on one of our 4 TV's---our home is perfectly suited for almost any occasion with the bonus of a breath-taking oceanfront view.

We have three decks: the upstairs 'Eagle's Nest' has it's own private deck perfect for a morning cup of coffee, sunbathing, or to watch our beautiful sunsets with a glass of wine; the main deck wraps the north and west side of the house offering unobstructed viewing; and the large lower deck hosts our hot tub and deck chairs. We have a well-maintained yard complete with a cozy picnic area with table. A private roped walk through the dune grass leads to the wide, sandy beach just waiting for you to explore. Beach fires, kite flying, sand castle building, shell collecting are all within steps of our front door. The beach is very gradual, and is one of the few area beaches excluded from any vehicular traffic (April 15-September's Labor Day Week-end), which makes it a great place for small children. We are within walking distance of the Moclips River which offers exploring along it's shores and trails of it's moss-clad forest.

For Pacific Northwest beaches, we offer it all! We are the closest you will be able to be to experience the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean.

Mom and dad, daughter and son-in-law co-own The Eagle's Nest and take pride in our 'hands-on' approach to keeping this vacation rental a place our guests return to year after year.

We stood on this property for years, hoping it would go up for sale. It did, we snatched it up and immediately began construction of our ideal family vacation home. We did it all, from design to construction to interiors. A true labor of love for the entire family, and now for us and others to enjoy for years to come.

Perfect escape from the city

This house was perfect. The layout worked wonderfully for our stay and the house was in an amazing condition. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you'd need and each room is nicely decorated. We would definitely return. The outdoor seating area and chairs are a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of the ocean.

Close to beach

House was nice, clean, and right on the beach. Beautiful view. Had everything in the kitchen we needed (other than oil, etc). Tons of parking. Negatives were no grill outside and expectations to have dishes cleaned and put away before 11am check out, which made check out day very stressful and hectic. This is unrealistic if people are eating that am and packing up also. Would be much easier to leave them in the dishwasher like every other house I've stayed in. Rules for checkout in email and posted at home are different. But very good experience otherwise.

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! Our policy on leaving the kitchen "as it was found" is standard for our area where there is a high demand for ocean front rentals that create many back-to-back conditions for our housekeeping. A review of our posted house rules was done and we no longer lock up deck chairs so that discrepancy was fixed. As mentioned in our welcome packet, we do not provide a BBQ due to our inability to control health standards and the potential fire hazard posed by our unique proximity to the dunes. Beach campfires are allowed 100 feet from the dunes and provide a fun and memorable beach experience. Thank you for your feedback and hope to see you again soon.

10+ Years at this wonderful beach house

This was our 11th year at this wonderful beach house. Our yearly tradition started when our youngest children were just over a year old. Year after year we come back and as soon as we walk through the doors our whole entire being is relaxed. The beach, the hot tub and the great meals we cook - we love it all. The home is so well equipped and maintained beautifully. The owners are wonderful people and we are so thankful that they share this gem with others.

Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Once again, we returned home from the Eagles Nest wishing we could stay longer! On the last night of our stay, my grandson was bemoaning the fact that we were leaving the next day, saying that he wished we could start the weekend all over again. I agreed! But I shared a little trick with him that helps me: I always plan my return trip before I leave.

As usual, all the amenities were in place when we walked in the door. And, as the grandkids have grown, we are slowly working our way through the well-stocked game stash. But, of course, the real draw is the beach. It doesn't matter what the weather is, or what time of year, it's always about the beach, the ocean and the ever-changing scenery. I was especially excited to see the new addition of the benches on the porch. Even on the rainy days, I wiped off the rain, bundled up in my rain gear, grabbed a cup of tea and sat out on the deck. Lovely! Why would we go anywhere else?

A perfect place to nest.

We had an amazing stay at the Eagle's Nest. Our group of four adults and two kids fit perfectly into this cozy home. The house and kitchen are well stocked and the layout is wonderful. Gorgeous views, beach access, private parking and a hot tub are just a few of the highlights. The owners are very kind, accessible and have a true pride of ownership. Lots of fun Moclips history in this special place. We would certainly recommend this home to any smaller group and we would love to visit again someday!
