Come enjoy our wonderful family and group-friendly vacation home! Our house is a spacious 3 bedroom / 3 bath with a vaulted-style living room and kitchen area, and plenty of windows with fantastic outdoor views, including peek views of the lake. Two master suites, one with a Jacuzzi tub and the other with walk-in closet and private deck, make this a great getaway for small groups or families.
Since sometimes the weather doesn't always cooperate with your outdoor plans - and sometimes you just want to hang out - we've furnished our home with a 67' HDTV for a theater-like experience, and a Nintendo Wii with an assortment of all-ages games (including a WiiFit). Stay connected and informed with the high-speed 802.11n Wi-Fi wireless networking. A small 'netbook' PC is also included with links to weather, local attractions, and more.
We're a short drive from the Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley ski resorts, and within striking distance of other North Lake Tahoe attractions. Our home has a mud area for your winter gear, a nice big warm cozy fireplace, a 2-SUV garage, and peek views of the lake and surrounding mountains.
In the summer, two large decks, patio furniture, and a grill make for relaxing BBQs amongst the pine trees. The Dollar Point Association (card access provided for our guests) provides a heated pool, tennis courts, private beach, and more. We are just a couple minutes from the quaint shops and beaches of Tahoe City.
For the kids, there's plenty to do. Our property features a gently sloping, natural-landscaping back yard that's perfect for introducing little ones to winter sledding. We keep an assortment of kids' toys on site, and provide for additional needs with safety gates, humidifiers, and a pack-and-play all on the premises.
Give us an e-mail or a call... we'd be happy to share more of our experiences in the area, and talk with you about vacationing in our home!
As a large group of friends and 2 infants looking for a weekend getaway in Tahoe and we were very lucky to find this home. It is very spacious, easily accommodating our group of 8 adults and 2 infants, and well appointed. Instructions for getting in very clear as well as instructions for accessing Wifi, TV, hot tub, etc. The kitchen allowed us to make dinner both nights saving us the expense of eating out, though we could have easily done with just a few minutes drive to main street of Tahoe City. The garage was very useful for keeping the cars snow free overnight. The driveway can accommodate 2 more cars. During our 2nd night, a snowstorm came through cutting power to the neighborhood for several hours. Patrick, the owner, was extremely responsive by text and was nice enough to allow for late checkout and even offered to let us stay another night on him when the main road out of tahoe (I-80) was closed. While we ended up not needing to do so, it was obviously very much appreciated. The driveway was cleared pretty early in the morning and the neighborhood roads plowed soon after. Overall, it was a great place to stay for the weekend!
Stayed here with a few friends to enjoy the skiing and absolutely loved it! Very spacious and a great entertainment area. We loved using the hot tub and being so close to the lake. I deffinitly recommend this home and would love to stay here again!
We had a fantastic weekend here. The house is spacious, warm and equipped with anything you need. Excellent location, around the corner from Tahoe City, the lake, and north lake ski resorts. Patrick made sure everything was ready for us upon arrival, despite 7+ feet of snow the days before our arrival. He was also very responsive to any questions we had throughout the stay. Would highly recommend it!
Stayed here in Jan 2016, and the glowing reviews from 2011 are still true. :)
Stayed w/our family of 6 for a post holiday ski. The layout was great for our family as the parents were downstairs & the kids took the other 2 rooms. 3 bathrooms were key for our 4 adult children & the washer & dryer & the hot tub were well used.
the internet was very erratic creating issues w/emails, net flix & general work issues for 3 in our family. The main reason 4 stars & not 5 stars. The fireplace was well stocked w/wood but no kindling.
Overall, we would certainly return here - it's great for families w/older middle/high/college age kids. Younger children may be too enticed w/the open walls to the hall way for climbing & large sliders to the outside. There are many stairs as it's similar to a split level which will hinder some. One definitely needs a car, but super convenient to Squaw & Northstar, the lake & down town Tahoe City. Quiet neighborhood, the house is large & spacious - more so than a townhouse would offer, & we felt completely at home.
Our favorite: the garage!!, hot tub!!! 3 full baths!! comfy couches & beds, ample linens.
We went during the busiest time of year and this was a great spot. We have young kids and there are a ton of games and toys for kids. Loved that the living space was open and spacious. We had an issue with the lock on the hot tub and it was fixed within 24 hours! We also an issue with the burners on the stove which complicated cooking but I think it will be fixed soon. My only other complaint was how dim the lighting was in kitchen and dining area. Bring your cheater glasses if your eyes suck. I would stay here again!
