I have 2 adult children both attending University of Firenze. I live very close to my rental property and am always available for eventual problems and any advice needed. I am very familiar with the city and am willing to help my renters in any way requested. i.e. Musuem, restaurant and train reservations.
Rachel Camarda - American Living in Firenze since 1983 purchased this apartment in 1999
I bought this small apt in the heart of the city because it was my dream to own and rent to others in order to share my passion and love for 'Bella Firenze'
The great location of this apt allows for walking distance to all churches, monuments, museums, shopping and everything you'd want to see in Firenze. No costs and hazzles with taxi's and buses. All right outside your door! Great restaurants and coffee bars such as Cibreo, Rivoire,Enoteca Pinchiorri,Tivoli Gelateria and much more

I receive immense joy and satisfaction when I can share my knowledge of Firenze and charming, delightful apt with my guests! My enthusiasm for Bella Firenze is endless!
I was 14 days in Florence for a Dolce Vita language training course. Rachel is a very friendly and helpfull owner. The apartement is cosy, clean and comfortable. All you need is available. I didn´t miss anything. The location is in a side road,- so it was silence at night and I slept well. That even in the heart of Florence. The life starts when you leave the door and walk 2 minutes. Everything was perfect.
My wife and I will certainly come back.
Thanks Rachel for your great support.
The apartment is charming and quite spacious for the two of us and our small dog. There is an additional small bedroom that we did not use. The apartment is centrally located and worked very well for museum and site hopping as well as attending an Italian language school. Rachel was a gracious host and responded promptly to our questions and needs. About halfway into our stay, construction started somewhere in the building. We realize there is no control over when something like that occurs but it was pretty loud from in the morning until about 5pm. The only negative was the noise from various renters in the apartment above us. When they were moving around, it was obvious and was somewhat annoying. Notwithstanding this, we recommend this apartment for other visitors to Florence. Grazie mille Rachel!
My wife, father and I spent a week in this cosy and comfortable apartment. The location is terrific! The Arno river is at the end of the block, with the Ponte Vecchio only a short walk away. The Ufizzi, the Signoria are just as close, with the Duomo only a ten-minute walk away. The apartment is on a very quiet street.
Rachel, the owner, met us promptly after our cab pulled up and gave us a tour of the apartment. It was clear that she put a lot of thought and effort into providing what visitors need, like a shopping cart, umbrellas, and several guides books to the city. As a whole, the apartment reminded me of a well-sorted boat in which everything that was needed was present and in its proper place. We found Rachel very helpful and engaging.
Even in July, built-in air conditioners in the living room and both bedrooms quickly cooled down the apartment when we returned from our adventures each day. The new washing machine was a godsend. The large bed was firm and comfortable, and my father reports that the softer bed in the small bedroom was to his liking. The small bedroom is entered through the larger bedroom. We never felt crowded in the least, although the kitchen is a one-person affair.
The apartment provided us with a perfect base for exploring Florence and we developed an affection for it. It is where I will stay the next time I visit Firenze.
We spent 13 wonderful days in Florence. Florence itself is fantastic; Rachel's apartment made it even more so. As stated in the reviews of others, the location was superb. We were in the middle of so many of the tourist attractions, museums, palaces, churches, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. but yet on a very quiet street where we felt far removed from the crowds when we got back to the apartment.
The apartment itself was very spacious and yet cozy. We had come from a small apartment in Rome and were very impressed with all the space we had at Rachel's. It was also very comfortable, well designed, and well equipped. Everything in the apartment was working perfectly and we lacked for nothing. Others have mentioned that the kitchen was small. However, we cooked most of our meals there and did not feel cramped. The espresso machine was a delight--so much so that we have purchased one like it here at home.
Rachel was a great host. She provided us with a lot of information about where to shop and arranged for a taxi for us. She was very friendly and made us feel like we could call on her for help with any of our needs.
There are stairs, but not very many and we, two seniors, had no trouble going up and down several times a day.
We will definitely stay at Rachel's again should we return to Florence. We are also recommending Rachel's apartment to our traveling friends.
Thank you so much Rachel for making our stay wonderful and memorable.

This cozy apartment is perfectly situated for exploring Firenze. On a quiet side street, it's just around the corner from delicious food, beautiful sites/sights, and all the attractions of the city. The beds were comfortable--and though the twin bed looks small, I slept well every night. It wasn't too short for me (I'm 5'7"). The kitchen is quite small, so if you plan on cooking elaborate meals, you might need to improvise... but, it was perfect for breakfast before heading out. (And anyway, who would want to cook in Florence when you have the most amazing food literally steps away at L'Anticho Vinaio or 5 minutes across the Ponte Vecchio in Oltrarno or in one of the many great restaurants in Santa Croce?) Rachel was a wonderful host. This place provided everything we needed and more for our stay in Florence. Thank you!!
My wife and I recently spent a month in this perfectly located, quiet, roomy, apartment. You could not be
in a better location to take advantage of all that Florence has to offer. Rachel is the nicest, most attentive and efficient host anyone traveling could want. She has provided to all who stay in this apartment everything necessary to enjoy a short term or long term vacation. Florence is a wonderful walking city and
there are museums, restaurants, shops, and historical sites right outside this apartment. You are only several minutes from the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio. I am going to recommend to everyone I know who is headed for Florence to contact Rachel and arrange to stay in this apartment. Thank you Rachel and we hope to return. Grazie mille!
