House, 5 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 2-12)
My hubsband and myself moved to Drumheller in 1996 with a transfer with the Rcmp. We loved the historic community of East Coulee which he built this beautiful house for our family. Due to unforseen health with our adopted son in and out of the Childrens Hospital we ended up leaving this property sitting vacant. A dear friend suggested we turn this property into a vacation rental and here we are today. We will always be greatful to these friends as today this allows me to be flexible for son when he needs us. My hubi is retired from the RCMP and we own rental properties and run a construction business along with the vacation rental.
Kathy purchased this House in 2005
Why Kathy chose Drumheller
This property was built my hubi which was simply a gift.
What makes this House unique
First, red is my favorite color. The views are awesome and the quietness of the community is awesome.

Perfect home and location
The home was perfect for our needs. We had a family get together with 12 adults staying in the home, and it is a comfortable space with plenty of room, comfortable beds and three bathrooms, with plenty of towels. We attended the Passion Play at Drumheller, which is just a short drive away. The kitchen is well stocked with pans, pots, coffee maker, kettle, cutlery and dishes. We used the BBQ which had plenty of fuel. The price is excellent for such a large home that fits so many people. The only thing which we could have used was the piano being tuned. We had a sing-a-long and, though great to have the piano, which is a very good one and beautiful, it was out of tune.
Thank you so much Kathy for the use of your lovely home. The yard is lovely, and the views so beautiful.
We are grateful to you for being able to rent this home. The town is so quiet, a serene place with spectacular views.
This was a great place for our family of 11 to stay in Drumheller.
Our family of 11 had lots of room in this home. Lovely kitchen There was a bathroom on each of the three floors.
This home was perfect for our family of 10 people. Nice size kitchen/dining/living open concept make cooking and visiting very convenient. Basement games area was great for the nights some wanted to play games til late.
We enjoyed pie twice at the nearby East Coulee school museum tea room, climbed the hoodoos, toured the Atlas Coal Mine, walked the suspension bridge, drove the 6 klm of 11 bridges ending at an antique shop and then Last Chance Saloon in Wayne. Another day was spent at Tyrell museum in Drumheller. We enjoyed evening walks, local pottery studio and the very nearby playground with the grandchildren.
We all had an awesome time and never felt crowded.
Thank you to Kathy for having everything so organized and easy to manage.
Everything was very clean and tidy. My daughters really enjoyed the items displayed in the cabinets, particularly the awesome china.
We will recommend to friends and hopefully come again soon ourselves.
You have melted my heart.
Thank you. This is how I want every family to feel and enjoy this quiet spot.
Thanks and please come again and refer others.
Nice place to stay.
We had an overall good stay at this Drumheller property. Very nice and roomy for our family. Be cautious of the last step going downstairs from the kitchen. 3 of our family members either tripped or fell on the last stair. It was a little tricky because it is much shorter than the other steps. Also, there isn’t any shampoo/conditioner (any bathroom) available or hand soap in the basement. That is something we weren’t accustomed to when staying in other VRBO properties. Also, there is a request to run the air conditioner only 30 minutes at a time. That was odd to us. We did comply with her request. We weren’t sure how we were going to do that throughout the night though. We did turn off the a/c for the remainder of our first day and it seemed to stay cool enough. It was quite warm when we stayed in the property and the a/c was needed.
I would recommend this property for viewing the beautiful Badlands and for the nearby dinosaur museum. The landscape surrounding the property is beautiful.
Great Tyrell Place
The place was everything we had expected and more. The host was helpful and answered my questions within the hour. We had no major problems, the place was perfect for us. We recommend this place.
Thankyou so much. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and please come and visit again and refer others.
Peaceful stay in the badlands
We had a wonderful stay at this home! Very clean, organized and a comfortable fit for 6 couples. The location in East Coulee was a peaceful spot to stay and still be close to all the popular attractions in the area.
Thanks kindly for the nice review, we are thrilled your families enjoyed there stay.
Please refer others, and come and stay again.
We appreciate your business.
