With such a love for the Eastern Sierras it felt so natural to own a piece of it. So, we ventured into purchasing this condo. Our goal was to create a home away from home, with affordable luxury, for us and our renters. We hope you'll enjoy all that Mammoth Lakes has to offer. You'll want to keep coming back too!

Also, hiking and fishing in the summer is a wonderful experience.

Why joanne & David Amstutz chose Gold Country / High Sierra

Mammoth Lakes is the greatest mountain destination in the United States. This mountain is a relatively close drive from LA, San Fransisco, Reno, and Las Vegas. It boasts 3,000 acres of ski/board terrain and 400+ inches of snow a season. With Yosemite right in its backyard and the rest of the Eastern Sierras surrounding the area, it is a true Mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. You can not forget that this is Southern California; 300 days of sun a year.

What makes this condo unique

Short Walking distance to the The Village, and all its shops, entertainment, restaurants and activities. Free bus service all over town with bus stop at the bottom of our driveway. No need to drive.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Raffi,

The condo was ideal for us. It was well stocked with supplies for a pleasant stay. We were able to heat almost entirely with the wood that was available for the fireplace. Although it was cold and wintry outside, we were cozy in the condo. The living room furniture was especially comfortable for curling up with a good book.

It was nice to be able to cook most of our meals there instead of eating out. There were even sharp knives. The condo complex was quiet and so was the town- a good change from the madness of Orange County.

Thanks again,

Comfort, convenience and bonuses

  • 4 of 5

We have stayed in Mammoth Lakes many summers in all kinds of accommodations for over 15 years. We usually cook all our meals and really appreciate a well-appointed kitchen. Most condos have thrift-store worn out cookware, but we were thrilled to find quality pots, pans, utinsels and dishes to match the first class appliances. What a bonus!

Perfect location, perfect size, beautiful scenery......

  • 5 of 5

Perfect condo and location for my family. Very clean and all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

Joanne was a sweetheart and very accommodating as our car needed service during our stay in Mammoth. What was initially a stressful situation, turned into a relaxing vacation as Joanne quickly called me to help us through this ordeal. For this, we are truly appreciative and will definitely stay here again.

This condo had everything we needed - kitchen stuff, towels, bedding, etc. It is also in a great location - walking distance from The Village. The owners were very nice & helpful and answered all my questions promptly. We will definitely be staying there again.

Great location, well stocked, overall very pleasant.

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at this condo in Mammoth - I've had some poor experiences in the past of places with bare-bones offerings (little cooking equipment, place-settings, etc) and usually enter with low expectations. However, this place was roomier, more comfortable, and better equipped than I had expected. A wonderful surprise, considering we had some high-end cooking plans to accompany our hikes. We had a great time and would be glad to stay here again. Do note, the turnoff has poor or no signage so make sure your GPS is on the first time when you arrive - certainly not the fault of the location though, and once you get it down it's not an issue.

Great cabin!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for our 10 year anniversary. The condo is located within walking distance. Very cute and well stocked cabin. The couches were nice and comfy. The bed was a bit hard for us but if you like memory foam mattresses, you will love this. There are plenty of pillows. Very nicely decorated. Plus, we had fun playing ping pong at the clubhouse. Thank you very much for letting us stay in your cabin.
