My brother and I bought this condo because we have fallen in love with the Traverse City area. We are from Texas and our summers are insufferable. Our favorite memory of TC is watching the Fourth of July fireworks along West Bay in sweat pants and jackets! That is not something you can ever do in Texas. Our condo is decorated in a nautical style reminiscent of our homes in Texas. We have taken great care to outfit our condo in a style that showcases our concern for the discriminating traveler. Please enjoy our home as much as we do. Frederick Carroll and Carolyn Strand

We chose this location because it is the best of all worlds. We are a short walk down beautiful tree-lined streets filled with wonderful Victorian houses to some of our favorite downtown restaurants. The shopping is fantastic as well. But then we are across the street from Sunset Beach Park along West Bay where the sunsets are phenomenal. Go in the opposite direction and F&M Park awaits you with grills, a gazebo where there is always entertainment, and beautiful flowers. The TART Trail begins right out our door where you can bicycle along the bay or all throughout town.
Love the Blue Heron, the nautical theme and all the decor. We worked a 550 jigsaw puzzle, watched movies and used maps found here- thx! Really felt the southern hospitality with all the extras!
I made arrangements for us and another couple to stay here for a long weekend, Fri-Mon. Pictures and all information looked complete and inviting. Some fear of the unknown was soon history and our expectations were definitely exceeded. We also had the bonus of fabulous and unseasonably warm weather weather each day. The condo was absolutely perfect, quiet and very well located for us. We all appreciated the decor, amenities, cleanliness, available and plentiful supplies, thick bath linens, comfortable beds and favorable rate. Our only regret was that we could not/did not stay longer. Carolyn was very thorough and responsive as was Lisa who provided us with keys and a walk through. We look forward future stays.
The condo was very clean and well decorated. It was stocked with plenty of towels too! The owners left goodies for us upon arrival which was very much appreciated after a long drive to Michigan. The view from the balconies was beautiful. The condo is very close to the downtown restaurants and bars, just a short walk. The owners fully communicated all the details regarding the condo (for example parking and how to use the tvs). We would love to stay again!
We were very happy with the Blue Heron Condo. The condo was clean, spacious and in a great location! Carolyn and Tom were great to work with as well. We appreciated the welcome treats and the fully stocked condo. We were happy to have found such a gem! Looking forward to coming back again.
We loved the condo. Layout was good. Location is perfect. Very well stocked... hair dryers in every bath, large shampoo and conditioners, body wash in every shower, plenty of coffee in freezer, lots of spices. .. more than expected overall. Very clean and tastefully decorated.
My husband and I spent two nights in the Blue Heron Condo on our first visit to Traverse City. We were impressed from the moment we walked in by the attractive decor and spacious layout. There was a nice open gathering area downstairs with a big screen tv (which we never used as there was so much to do for our two day visit) comfy sofa and chairs, a dining table and fully equipped kitchen with 1/2 bath. Other than breakfast, we ate out as there is so much in walking distance, but the place would be great to prepare food and dine in. There was a kind gift of wine and snacks upon arrival. The wifi was strong and there were guidebooks and maps for our perusal. There was a balcony to boot. We liked the place to hang keys and chairs to put on shoes in the entry. Upstairs were two comfortable bedrooms with TVs and thoughtfully appointed ensuite bathrooms including a balcony for one room. Also a washer dryer with laundry pods and dryer sheets, although we didn't need them. I am a neat freak and this condo was meticulously clean. The bathrooms had amenities like shampoo/conditioner/shower wash/hair dryers and nice plush towels. The bedding was super soft. The condo is an ideal location. We walked downtown for espresso in the morning, walked to the main street shops and restaurants, and enjoyed the proximity to the trail to the lake for morning runs. It was a great introduction to Traverse a City!
This is our 4th stay at the Blue Heron and it only gets better! We love the location - walk to the beach and to town every day. The condo is so well stocked you need only your clothes. The decor is beautiful and it is obvious the owners are very attentive to the needs of guests. Games for those rainy days, wifi, and TVs in each bedroom. The sofa sleeper was as comfortable as any of the beds and they were great! We now plan our vacation on the availability of this condo!
