A Picture Is Worth A 1000 Words? Not this time!

Way to go Hughthir! We were wondering when you would decide that you should let the world know about this gem of yours. Folks, you can be assured that my wife Kathie and I are looking over our schedule for this summer ... and the fall ... to see when we can get the time away to enjoy this opportunity. I can tell you this from our many visits to the property over the past few years: This home and setting are magnificent, and extremely well priced for what you will be getting for your money. From the moment you pull off the road onto the two-track back into the woods you start to feel the serenity of nature at its best. Don't pass this one up folks. Take it from a city boy who is stuck in the hussle and bussle of the work-world WAY too much: This is it! And I can promise that once you do rent Hughthir's place you will ABSOLUTELY want to come back again and again. And that's just the way it really is!

Absolutely wonderful!!

A gem that is off the beaten path and off the grid. One of the most peaceful places I have ever been. There is beauty within and outside of the cabin. You can tell that the cabin itself was made with love and has some of the best craftsmanship you will ever see. Also the views from inside the cabin are just as beautiful and the ones outside. If you need to get away and relax, this is the place to do it! Hughthir is a great host and is there if you need or want anything! I will be back to visit again!

All I can say is wow! What a beautiful and charming gem! The cottage was immaculate!

If a quiet and charming get away is what you are looking for, then look no further folks! What a wonderful find this property was! The cottage is beautifully designed and decorated with an artistic flair and attention to detail. Super clean as well! The grounds are lovely with a lake nearby for hiking and watching wildlife. The host was the absolute best! Attentive to what we needed, but also allowed us to feel like we were the only ones on the property. Big kitchen for cooking if that's what you like to do. If not, there are many restaurants within 20 miles of the cottage where you can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. A truly wonderful experience. We will certainly return to this beautiful cottage nestled in northern Michigan! Thanks so much for hosting our get away!

Rejuvanating

My husband and I stayed for a week in this magical place in the woods. The cabin itself is amazing with everything you need to recharge. We loved just sitting quietly while looking at the care, love and skill that went into the construction. With its many windows in the sitting area, we enjoyed being surrounded by nature even when the weather kept us indoors. The deck was perfect for early morning coffee, meals and stargazing. The nearby pond was gorgeous no matter what time we visited. The property was fun, whimsical and a treat to explore. Hughthir was a wonderful host. We started planning our return visit before we even left. If you enjoy being away from it all surrounded by nature you will love it here. Abundant wildlife to observe and listen to was an added bonus. Highly recommend. A wonderful stay in every way. Thanks Hughthir!
