The apartment is located in a historic house in the old town, the central could not lie. It is directly beneath the Tübingen castle, just a few meters from the town square with its historic town hall. The 1.5 rooms large, newly renovated apartment has been equipped with attention to detail. In the combined living and sleeping area is located next to the 1.60 x 2.00 m king-size bed, a sitting area and fully equipped kitchenette. If necessary, a comfortable armchair can be converted for another person to roost in this room. Through the corridor with wardrobe leads into the spacious daylight bath with shower / WC. Here opposite is another small room with a single bed.

If you are using a navigation system, please enter "Neckarhalde 1 72070 Tübingen" as a goal, the Burgsteige borders directly on. Parking in the old town is generally difficult. However, you can park right outside the apartment, to load and unload your luggage. Various parking facilities are located nearby.

Wheelchair largely unsuitable.
For very calm needy people, the apartment is only partially suitable, since the lively Old Town Flair is not for everyone.
Unfortunately not reachable with wheel chairs.
Because of its location rigth in the old city, it maybe is not the place quitest every day.
I wish that they spend as a guest feel comfortable and a great time in Tübingen. Smoking is permitted only on the doorstep. The appreciative handling of the inventory is self-evident.
Please do not smoke inside the house. There is an ashtray in front.
I booked 7 nights at Jonas’ great place - totally updated apartment in a historic 1500s building, just down the cobblestone street from the Hohentuebingen Castle. This is an outstanding location in Tuebingen old town, with historical sites, restaurants, and shopping starting a few steps away. My daughter, who is now studying at the University for a semester, and I enjoyed a week of exploring and getting ready for her student housing. We found plenty to do in Tuebingen and the train was close by for easy day trips.
This apartment is even better than pictured, with a huge bathroom including totally updated fixtures. The kitchen area was very nice and efficient, and we made use of the second small bedroom for my daughter - basically a single bed fits the space plus a bit of room for a table. Everything was spotless. Jonas provided extra-large towels, sparkling water, coffee and a coffee maker, plus an electric kettle.
And we loved the fact that the Internet was so fast!
We often walked to the Neckar River, which took about 10 minutes ambling through old town; the local buses all stop at the bridge, making it very easy to get around the rest of the city. The Tourist Information building, which is right at the end of the bridge, was a great spot for maps, recommendations, and local bus tickets.
The apartment is on a busy street, which can be loud, which is perhaps more noticeable at night. Jonas kindly provides earplugs (no charge). We thought it was fine being in the middle of the action.
A large, lively farmer’s market takes place around the corner in the Marketplatz every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with an incredible selection of local foods and flowers. Even on non-market days the square is lovely with the beautifully detailed historic Rathaus (Town Hall) and Neptune fountain. We liked to watch the Marketplatz action from Ranitsky, a nice place for coffee and cake, or a drink with flammkuechen. We also adored the nearby Cafe IM Hirsch down another small cobblestone road.
Jonas checked in on us in person and was quick to answer questions during our stay, which was great. He provided the information for entering the apartment on the day of arrival and everything went smoothly.
My husband, 14 month old son and I stayed at Jonas' apartment in Tubingen in mid-November for 5 nights while in town visiting family. We found the apartment to be absolutely perfect! Exactly as pictured! It was very clean, fully stocked with kitchen/bathroom items and just overall perfect for our needs. It does get a bit busy noisy, as it's a ground floor apartment on a somewhat busy street, but we just used a white noise app on our phones if we needed to sleep, and it didn't bother us a bit. Would highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for a centrally located place to stay. The farmer's market is just 2 blocks away and the walk to 1 of 2 bus stops is about a 10 minute walk through a beautiful town.
