Lovely place needing attention

  • 3 of 5

The property is accurately described with everything in place as listed. The location is incredibly quiet and nearby Sa Rapita was almost as quiet with only 5 or 6 restaurants on the sea front and very little else (that we saw).

We arrived to find the kitchen flooded (apparently someone "must have defrosted the fridge") and, as others have mentioned, the place needs some updating. Plates are chipped, there are 3 soup plates but only 1 muesli bowl ("a bonus" we were told). There are two sunbeds as described - the third is broken. Sundry other minor niggles.... nothing major... but definitely needs a fresh eye to look at what's there and repair/update a bit.

For a very quiet and peaceful holiday we would recommend, if the property were refreshed.

Es Trenc beach is great but parking is difficult unless you are there early and it's nearly all charged for. Access to the Mallorcan road network is easy (avoid going into Sa Rapita and use, instead, the Vinyola road) so we managed to tour the island effectively even from such a southerly point.

We ate a few times in Cafe Brisas in Sa Rapita. Lovely waitress and good portions of tapas.

Owner's Response: Dear Jan G., I am surprised that you have after your „serious objections”“ another 3 stars for the house. Up to now, none of the guests, has found still waters in front of the fridge. Forgive the cleaning lady that she has forgotten after the cleaning to switch on the fridge again. It can not have been a floot; I know a situation like that well. I will transmit your objection anyway to the cleaning lady. Your objection of the dishes and all other things, is basically a cheek. I was persuaded on the house and have made sure of the fact that it is in proper state. I have written you also that the house, as described, is equipped with two well-arranged deck chairs and one is quite new(2016). Now, nevertheless, you mentioned this chair which has broken off in the foot part. It was substituted by me, and was converted as a garden armchair . I am glad that you have liked the waitress.

A fantastic stay in a beautiful quiet location

  • 4 of 5

We wanted a quiet self catering break away and that is exactly what we got. The property is ideally located a 5 minute drive from the closest village where there is a fantastic bakery, and 10 minutes from Campos and a larger supermarket. The property itself is in a wonderful secluded development and the garden and terrace are very private.

The only thing I would say is that the furniture and facilities are a little basic and could perhaps do with renewal but this did not affect our enjoyment.

An easy 30 minute drive from the airport and only 40 minutes simple drive from Palma city, which is fantastic day trip.

We loved the area and found it perfect for a lazy self catering visit to the sun and beach!!

  • 4 of 5

Erholung pur

  • 5 of 5
