The views are great and the cabin is wonderful!
This was a sweet little cabin, very neat and clean. The kitchen was very nice, and everything was in working condition. The road was a problem in one stretch, washboard and be advised if you take the wrong turn at the top in the dark it is scary. (We did that the first night after a long days travel and it was hairy) Otherwise very nice.
I echo all other reviews. Awesome mountain cabin with wonderful view.. Didn't want to leave. Linda made the process smooth and worry-free. Climb up the mountain is a little steep, so make sure you have a capable vehicle, but the destination is well worth it. Would definitely return for another vacation in the Smokies.
My husband and I rented this cabin for a little vacation. This is one of the best house I have rented (been renting from VRBO for 14 yrs.). It was extremely clean and stocked with everything we needed. The outside back deck was spacious and views of the mountains were wonderful. It was so peaceful and quiet I did not want to leave. You will not be disappointed. Linda is great to work with and very attentive
What a wonderful weekend getaway! Cozy cabin with spectacular views. We had everything we needed and will definitely go back!!
What a lovely cabin in the mountains where the air is fresh, and the only sounds you hear at night are the ones that nature provides. The cabin is well-appointed with comfortable furniture. I can imagine how cozy it would feel in the winter with a fire roaring. The kitchen has everything you would need for a simple breakfast or a gourmet meal. The bedrooms are a good size, and there is plenty of room to store your belongings. There is a wonderful porch with a swing, an ideal spot to spoon with your sweetheart. Or, you can sit an enjoy a glass of wine on one of the two rocking chairs. There is also a table out there, where you could have your breakfast or an evening meal.
The area is wonderful for hiking. We were there for ten days and were very impressed with the abundance of walks of all levels of difficulty. Even for a small town, Clayton boasts some excellent restaurants. Our favorites were Rumor Hazit, the Laurel Bar and Fortify. Grapes and Beans Cafe is also a great place for lunch. If you like touring vineyards, there are three in the area.
We highly recommend this area and this wonderful cabin, which has been lovingly cared for.
