About this property

The main level has an open floor plan with the main sitting area, dining area & kitchen providing good flow for those wanting to spend quality time together. Enjoy the fireplace, Smart TV & comfy furniture. Our Kitchen stove has extra features such as Confection, warming burner & warming drawer. The refrigerator has ice & water access on the door. The Coffee Pot has instance hot water feature. The largest bedroom with 2 Queen Posturepedic mattresses, & one full bathroom complete the floor plan on this level The main level layout gives the guests the option of staying just upstairs or expanding to the lower level for more amenities. The lower level gives guest the option to spread out or find a quite private space. This level has two more bedrooms, Thermostat controlled pellet stove, another Smart TV, New Washer/Dryer & the second full bathroom. Just outside the back door is our backup power system. Almost all areas have had been upgraded, we will continue to improve & refurbish as a long-term goal. This is property is equipped with a security system & camera. UPDATE: A new Hybrid King Mattress set has replaced the old king mattress set 7-30-22.

We had good stay

We had a good stay. The only thing that can be improved is that we had to do a lot of cleaning (more than standard) before we checked out even though we already paid for cleaning service. Other than that, the property is good location, very close to ski resort. We enjoyed our stay.

pros and cons

Lovely back yard area that opens up into the woods. Cabin has pellet stove and wood burning fireplace that makes you feel extra cozy in the winter. Close to sledding and skiing at Bear Valley 30 mins away. Beds are uncomfortable esp the downstairs king bed is very lumpy and few things are stocked in the kitchen (ie no coffee filters for coffee machine etc). Also, checkout is more cleaning and washing than I would care for.

Cute and cozy cabin!

A cozy retreat during an epic snowfall! Cabin was warm and comfortable, and Jo Dean was extremely responsive.

Wonderful cabin in the woods!

We loved staying here for Christmas! Our family of four had more than enough room; honestly, we could have had more family with us and been fine with the amount of space there is (3 bedrooms/2 baths). Jo Dean was very prompt in all communications and checked in with us as we got hit with one of biggest snow storms this area has seen! We stayed warm with the pellet fire and wood fireplace and enjoyed our hot chocolate as we watched snow falling from the many windows overlooking the woods. The kitchen was nicely stocked with everything you'd need to cook the food you bring in and the all-important dishwasher to clean up afterward! Overall a good way to end yet another challenging year and we would go back again!

This property has been our sanctuary for many years. Although we are new to VRBO, we have been in the Vacation Rental business for more than 30 years. We are also experienced Home Exchangers. We are a Senior couple with no children, who love to create fond memories with extended family & close friends

Why they chose this property

We live in the Central Valley about 21/2 hours from the cabin. Since the cabin is 5300 elevation it is a great spot for us to escape the Summer temperatures. We love that we can experience all that nature has to offer while in the mountains.

What makes this property unique

The cabin is surrounded by National forest with several lakes, rivers & mountain trails nearby. Easy Hwy 4 access makes traveling up & down the hills the quickest route to all activities and events in our area.
