Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful home. We were visiting family nearby and it was great to have our special place! Loved the view and the treadmill. Thank you for everything.

Great Stay, Nice House!

  • 5 of 5

I am very late in this review but had to let everybody know what a nice VRBO this is. We were touring the bourbon trail and vineyards in the area. It is close to the city of Somerset which has everything you will need for a stay. We made day trips to Louisville and Lexington and other points in all directions. The house is located on a bluff overlooking Lake Cumberland and the back deck is a nice view and a great place to visit. Communication with the owner was excellent. Mary Ann is the local point of contact and though we never met she was extremely helpful and made the stay easy. I will absolutely return to this listing should our travels take back that way.

Second Trip

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for the second time. The air conditioning was out when we arrived but the property manager was so nice. She had fans ready for us and fortunately it was not too warm. The manager and owner worked to get it fixed quickly. They had to wait on a part but they fixed it with in a couple of days. I have to say it is so nice to be able to contact someone and get help right away.

The view of the lake is so beautiful. We have really enjoyed staying here.

Wonderful Home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a family vacation. It is even better than the pictures. We had so much room. The view of the lake off the back porch was so peaceful. Lee's Ford Marina is about a mile away and you can rent boat slips to leave your boat during your stay. We took a day trip to Cumberland Falls and to Corbin to see the Original Harland Sanders Cafe (KFC). There is a Civil War Battlefield close by also. The home is wonderful and the location is great. I really hope we can make a return trip next year.

Great Weekend Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our daughter had Fall break from college and wanted to go see some fall colors in the mountains. This was a last minute decision so we were afraid we might not find a good location. My wife and I invited our moms to go (90 and 81 years old) along with us and our two daughters. This home was perfect. It was easy for our moms and the girls loved having the downstairs to themselves when they went to bed. The view is very pretty, especially with the fog in the mornings lifting off the lake. The area is nice. There is an IGA food store nearby along with a couple of restaurants in Nancy. Somerset is only 15 minutes away with everything you need. Driving around the nearby countryside takes you back in time and is very relaxing. Be sure to check your calendars in case the moonbow is visible at Cumberland Falls State Park. We went but it was socked in with fog (seems to be typical in the Fall, probably Spring as well). If your needing a place in this area, pick this one.

Much more than we expected!

  • 5 of 5

This house was great! We were all very impressed with the home itself, but more so with the fact that the owners had the home fully stocked. It was much more than we expected. We had all the comforts of home and then some. The view was fantastic. The house is very close to Lee's Ford Marina, so it was easy to get to and from. We hiked, swam, enjoyed the waterpark, etc. The listing was accurate and gave great points and pictures of the home. The house was very clean and well kept. We had a great time and we will recommend this home and using HomeAway to others. Thank you HomeAway and the owners and manager of the home. We plan to go back next year.
