Casa Dena is a newer 4000sf beachfront home in Paraiso Tankah with private pool, spacious patios and balconies. This Luxurious 4 bedroom home will provide you with one of the best vacations in the Riviera Maya.
The Waterfall Pool in front of the house gives you a relaxing area to layout or keep cool, while you enjoy the sights and sounds of the jungle surroundings. Located across from the pool is the BBQ area where you can prepare your meal just the way you like it, with an easy to use gas grill and plenty of counter space.
The large Granite kitchen area has everything you need to prepare your favorite meals, or let Armando and Daisy our live in cooks prepare you some of their best dishes. We suggest using Riviera Maya Groceries and have your fridge fully stocked upon arrival. Enjoy the complimentary drinks, guacamole, and salsa prepared for your arrival and explore your new home away.
The living room was designed to flow with the kitchen and dining area keeping everyone involved in conversations throughout the home. The dining area seats eight with an additional six bar seats around the large kitchen island, or if you prefer take your meal to the patio and enjoy the ocean breeze.
Casa Dena has three Master suites each with king size beds. Bedroom 4 has two double beds for larger parties or makes a great room for the kids, with plenty of extra room for setting up the inflatable mattress or our portable crib (available upon request). All bedrooms are air conditioned, with private Marble baths and large balconies with full Ocean Views.
Relaxing at Casa Dena is made easy with several lounge chairs located pool and beach side, a large Palapa on the beach provides plenty of shade for taking a siesta in one of the colorful hammocks. On the roof we have designed a wonderful seating area for watching the sunrise, working on your tan, stargazing, or throwing a roof party.
Casa Dena is committed to making sure your Riviera Maya vacation is the best it can possibly be, Daisy and Armando will make sure your vacation is everything you expect and more, if you need anything just ask!
First I have to tell you what a wonderful place Casa Dena is! Halfway thru our trip I asked my husband what his highlight was so far. We both agreed it was the house! We had stayed all over that coast, it's been our only vacation destination for about 17 years. We've stayed at all inclusives, boutique hotels, condos, guest houses and your house is the best of any of them all in one! It was perfect. A bit large for the two of us but thank you for letting just the 2 of us stay. Loved the location because Akumal and Tulum are our favorite spots. It was great being in the middle of both, we headed one way or the other everyday. We never had Daisy and Armando cook, as it was just the two of us and we enjoy cooking when we can while on vacation. The guacamole he made was great, and lasted all week. Armando told us he'd been a cook in Cancum for 12 years, he still has a passion for cooking. All in all, a great trip. Super relaxing. We definitely want to go back, hopefully with more people! Casa Dena would be a great place for a bigger group, but is was unbelievable for the 2 of us. I highly recommend it! Again, thank you so much for renting your great casa. Please send Daisy and Armando our regards. We hope to stay in touch!
This is a lovely house and the caretakers were attentive but not intrusive. Everything was spotless and the house is in excellent condition. It's easy to get into town for shopping, yoga, and meals, or just walk down the road a bit to a relaxed restaurant and swimming area. We swam in several "cenotes" (new to me!) in the area, also. There's a ground floor bedroom if a guest needs accessibility, but several steps up to the front door. We are hoping to return in the coming years!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception on the beach at Casa Dena in hopes of celebrating with a small group of friends and family in an intimate setting. Casa Dena was perfect! We stayed 5 nights and wish we had stayed longer. The house is beautiful, well maintained and extremely clean. Casa Dena is located on a dirt road off the main highway allowing for a true getaway but close to a few restaurants and a cenote. Having a car is essential to explore the surrounding area as taxis get expensive. We appreciated details of the house including the welcoming guacamole and margaritas (really nice touch after the travel to get there), water pitchers in the bathroom to brush your teeth with filtered water, hammocks under a palapa overlooking the ocean, and safes in each room. The house is well built making it possible to find a quiet spot even in a group of eight people. The rooftop has a great view of the area including the jungle side of the road and beach complete with cozy cushions to relax with coffee in the sun. Daisy and Armando were kind and generous. My biggest regret is not arranging for them to cook for us. Whatever we needed, they were there to help. Their dog, Lassie, was our watchdog and would walk with us down the road at night or during the day. She was extremely well behaved and a nice addition to our party. We will forever have great memories of our wedding here at Casa Dena. Thank you!
Came here to celebrate my best friend's bachelorette party. Location is great and just a 20 minute drive into the downtown Tulum area. Would highly recommend renting a car and driving around because we did get ripped off a few times with taxis. The property itself is wonderful, with all necessary amenities and you can't beat waking up to the sunrise every morning and falling asleep to the sound of waves. Daisy and Armando are amazing, and incredible cooks. Definitely have them make huevos rancheros- one of the best meals we had during our trip. They were extremely helpful as was Monica, the property manager. There is a great seafood shack right by the casa with delicious ceviches, tacos, etc and very reasonably priced. Casa Dena is very spacious and there's lots of spots to lounge and relax, including the amazing roof! Can't wait to come back.
Casa Dena is a great place to stay in the Tulum area. This is our second time at this home and it proved, once again, to be an excellent choice. The home offers great views from every room, are all very comfortable and roomy. Even when you are there with a group, there are nooks to sneak off to read or have some time to yourself. The rooftop is probably my favorite place to hang out. Daisy and Armando took very good care of us, and their pup, Lassie, filled our days with laughs and fun...especially when missing our own dog. If we head that direction again for a vacation, we will start and end our search for a place to stay, at Casa Dena.
My family of 6 spent a week at Casa Dena. Steve, the owner, is responsive and generous to a fault. The house managers, Armando and Daisy, are kind, ultra-efficient, and great cooks! The house is beautifully furnished and spacious and we loved it. More than enough space for 6 adults. The only thing I would change about the house is the pool, which is small and curiously located on the road side of the home and looking out onto the parking deck, not on the beach side. It would have been nice to have an ocean view/experience while enjoying the pool. Tulum was challenging to us in a few ways. First, the weather, while sunny, was quite windy every day. We are talking 30mph winds (we couldn't do a planned ocean excursion during virtually the entire week due to high winds/high waves). Second, while the restaurant food we had there was exceptionally good, 4 of our party got violently ill the 2nd night there and remained ill for the majority of the trip (avoid root vegetables! These 4 had all eaten the beet appetizer at Harwood). In talking to locals we were advised that this water-borne illness is a common experience even for the locals. Our family has been to Mexico many times, e.g., to Playa alone 5 or 6 times, and have never had this issue. Apparently, the nature of the porous limestone bedrock in Tulum lends itself to sanitation/waste issues. Third, we had no heads up that it was so difficult to find a restaurant or excursion that will accept credit cards. Even at the nicest restaurants, where our bill would be over $300 US, credit cards were not accepted. Also, if you used US dollars, there was a '20% 'handling fee.' ATM's, unless you have arranged with your bank to get these fees covered, were as high as 18% as well. The trick seems to be to bring tons of cash, exchange this for pesos as soon as you get there, and you will be good to go.
My family and I visited Casa Dena for Thanksgiving break 2015 and had an excellent vacation. Armando and Daisy took great care of us during our stay. We were greeted with pico de gallo, guacamole, and chips and asked Armando to make more half way through our stay. So delicious! I love that you can rent the house as a 1, 2, 3 or 4 bedroom. The views from the bedrooms and rooftop deck are amazing. From the rooftop you can see the bays on either side. We fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves and tropical birds every night. The location is perfect if you want to visit the area and like a peaceful, relaxing environment for your stay. A short 10 minute drive to Tulum pueblo or beach road. I definitely recommend renting a car, but the drive from Cancun airport is very easy. A couple restaurants are withing walking distance. Chamico's right on the beach which is a beautiful walk and has excellent seafood. Plus, Casa Cenote just down the road. Only about $3 to snorkel or swim in a crystal clear cenote. The beachfront at the house is rocky but also very shallow for several feet out. On the calmer days we walked past the rocks and enjoyed some snorkeling. I highly recommend Casa Dena and can't wait to visit again.
