Scrapbooking, Relaxation, adventure, so much fun!!
What a wonderful time we had! I'm a passionate scrapbooker and decided that some friends and I should escape to do a scrapbooking retreat. I found this wonderful home and fell in love with it! It had plenty of space for us to have our own rooms. A huge table for us to scrap and additional table top for all our supplies... When I saw the great game room below I thought my teen girls would probably love their own mini vacation with some of their friends. There was a total of 4 ladies and 4 teens. We hardly heard a peep from the kids! They were too busy hanging out below, in the hot tub and exploring the grounds with it's winding creek and mini waterfall... The community also has a lake and private rapids which made for some fabulous pictures that I can't wait to scrapbook! The wrap around porch with it's many rocking chairs was a peaceful outing to watch all the hummingbirds fly around it. The kids also enjoyed the fire pit that allowed us to build a pretty nice size fire.... the smores were yummy!! They even provide boots in different sizes to go and explore the creek so you would not get dirty or wet! On our way home we decided to visit Chimney Rock which was only 15min away... it was a sight to see. I can't wait to come back! The next time, it will be for more then 3nights!! :)
Thanks for everything!

Cabin in the woods
We really enjoyed our stay at Redbird. Location is perfect for enjoying nature and the house easily accommodated our three families. The only negative is the internet speed. It is barely adequate for text messages. Forget about streaming or Netflix or complex web pages. Unfortunately internet access has become a major component of everyday life. Aside from this one issue we were very pleased with our stay.
Serene natural beauty
The house was beautiful. The area was very quiet and you could not see the neighbors. Sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs, you can hear the waterfall and see lots of wildlife. Hummingbirds galore. They should name this cabin hummingbird haven.
GGG goes to Red Bird
GGG is a group of women who spend a week once a year in the mountains. This was our 10th year. We wanted to go somewhere special and we found it at Red Bird Retreat. The cabin was warm and inviting. All the Sista's had a memorable time. The kitchen was well stocked. It rained but we still had lots of things to do. Go find Chimney Rock. One day we stayed home and played games. The surroundings are so beautiful. We went in the spring when the flowers were just starting to bloom, it was perfect.
Lovely Area and Great Cabin
This is a lovely cabin with lots of room and all of the amenities you need to enjoy a stay in the mountains. My grandkids loved the boat and the lake. Todd was great to work with and a man of his word. Thanks for making my family's time in Lake Lure fun!
Great space and unique setting in a private development.
Todd was very diligent with a minor WiFi issue we were having getting our devices to connect. He was most helpful to get us straightened out. The home has beautiful decks and is in great shape. Definitely recommend for a family or two.
