Pied-a-Terre. The place is nestled in the hills above Sonoma Valley with views of the valley, mountains and vineyards, yet close to town Plaza (less than 4 miles). Private entrance and private, abundant parking. The home is on one plus acre surrounded by beautiful California live oak trees and a winter creek with water-falls. There is a perennial garden that flowers for most of the year. The property is surrounded by vineyards and is close to the end of a dead-end street, so very quiet. The place is fully furnished with a fully stocked kitchen, tile floors throughout, tile tub and shower and free wi-fi.
There is also a private wraparound deck with a view and patio table and chairs for relaxing and/or dining. It's only a few minutes to the town of Sonoma and/or Glen Ellen and an hour's drive to San Francisco. Sonoma Valley offers a variety of entertainment from wineries, spas, golfing, hiking, massage, restaurants and much more.

We (Myrna and Ned) built our custom home and moved to Sonoma Valley in 2006, having lived in Petaluma, California previously for 30 years. We love Sonoma for the perfect weather, views, entertainment and recreational opportunities. Everything is close.
Myrna or Ned purchased this apartment in 2004
The property sits on a hill overlooking sonoma valley with Sonoma mountain views in the distance. The apartment is totallly separate from our home with it's own private entrance from the street. The apartment is spacious (over 600 sq. feet). The kitchen is large and complete with all utensils. The property is close to downtown Sonoma, but also close (less than 10 mintutes) to Glen Ellen and many wineries and parks. It is also walking distance to Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa and many eclectic restaurants.
Thanks again for the place this weekend. We are very pleased with the whole situation and had a great time. Sorry we were not able to touch bases before we left.

We had a wedding to attend on Saturday so we stayed 2 nights to do some wine tasting and explore the area. The apartment was very clean and fully equipped to make it a comfortable home away from home. We especially loved the beautiful and quiet location, yet we were only a short drive away from the Plaza, many wineries, and, as luck would have it, the shuttle pick-up site at Altimira Middle School for the wedding. We highly recommend this apartment for couples looking for a Sonoma get-away. Thanks again, Myrna and Ned.
I would recommend this apartment to any couple that wants to get away for the weekend. My wife and I just celebrated our 12th anniversary and this place was perfect. It was far enough away from people or vehicle traffic. The view from the balcony is picturesque, especially with morning coffee or champagne sunsets. The living space was ideal for our lounging purposes and the small but versatile kitchen served it's purpose for our meals. The bed/pillows were very comfortable and the shower/bath was more than I expected. I personally appreciated the informational binder. My wife and I truly felt like we were at home and will definitely return if available for our next outing. Thank you Myrna and Ned. You have two new fans of your home.
This little secret hideaway was perfect for our visit to Sonoma. Beautiful, quiet and all the extras you could ask for. So wonderful to have a place to come home to other than a cookie cutter hotel room. You could stretch out on the deck or take a walk. Lovely grounds to boot! Highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed in November 2014 for a wedding. We stayed several days. Extremely relaxing. Weather was fantastic - beautiful fall colors at that time. Especially liked having coffee out on the patio/deck in the morning in the sun watching the deer below. We took frequent walks on the very private street. HIGHLY recommend staying here.
Seeking refuge from the holidays in the north lands, we booked Myrna and Ned's rental for a week. It is a beautiful apt. adjacent to their hilltop home, just outside of Sonoma. True to the description, there is a vineyard across the street and a steep canyon off the back with rushing water 24/7, visible from a wrap around deck. We lucked out with warm afternoon sun on our faces in shorts and T's enjoying hillside and mountaintop vistas.
The apt. is nicely appointed while Myrna and Ned were gracious and helpful hosts, providing privacy and help when needed. Going for a walk from the house is a great workout as all the adjacent streets start low and go up! But house looking is great as many homes are older with lots of greenery. At the main street level we discovered many local markets highlighting neighborhood fare...delicious BBQ chicken, local salsas, tamales, flan!
One change I would make is to eventually replace the two small sofas with a corner lounging unit. It would make stretching out (I'm 6 ft.) much more comfortable while watching tv, reading. And since we are tv addicts and the eyes aren't what they used to be, I would hang the flat screen and when that one goes, consider one slightly larger. But these are small details and wouldn't make me hesitate from staying again. Thank you M & N, hope to see you next year.
My wife and I stayed in this mountain-view apartment for 8 nights in mid August. Everything in the apartment was perfectly maintained and clean. Myrna was very accommodating and had everything we needed to ensure a comfortable stay. Succinctly put, I HIGHLY recommend this apartment for any couple looking stay in Sonoma county. Thank you, Myrna!
