The great room views and outside terraces looking down on crashing surf make this property sing. Wide, extended ocean frontage with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, along with spectacular views of lighthouses and shipping channel.
The home inside has ALL the furnishings and amenities you need to have a comfortable stay but I want to be clear that at this peak pricing (approx 2k BELOW vacation homes in area with LESSER VIEWS) you will find less updates, and only average interiors, furnishings and appliances, etc.
Lobster cooker, gas grill, secret garden path, fire urn table on upper terrace, hammock on lower terrace, WIFI internet ready, added fridges in garage and lower level, garage bay available, HD and DVD cable with sports package, incredible panorama views from great room, master bedroom balcony, library windows, etc.
This house is a great space with fabulous views from every angle. We enjoyed sitting on the patio right next to the ocean as well as the numerous gathering areas in the large house. The open layout of the house makes the most of the ocean access and is a comfortable setting for visiting with family and friends. A truly great space.
This was a gorgeous home and the perfect weekend retreat for my friends and me. The house had so much space with windows everywhere and phenomenal views. It was extremely clean and comfortable and had all the modern conveniences one would want. I am grateful for the opportunity to have stayed in such a beautiful home...and being right on the water made it even more special. I highly recommend this getaway!
I spent a weekend with college friends at this beautiful home. The views are stunning from both inside and out. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is convenient to hiking, shopping and restaurants. Would definitely recommend to family and friends!
I spent a weekend at this property with relatives and friends and found it to be private and well situated with stunning views, an accessible shore, and in walking distance to Fort Williams and acres of hiking trails. We found the kitchen fine to cook our own meals but several restaurants were near by as well. I would definitely return!
We arrived in the evening after dark for a weekend getaway with friends and my first impression was the sound of waves striking rocks - just feet away. Walking out on the terrace, with the moon rising, I realized how close the water was! In the morning, the early risers watched the sun come up from the windows that line the ocean-side of the house. The panoramic view is simply stunning. One could sit all day and just watch the waves on the shore as the tide comes in and goes out ... but there is plenty to do nearby for fun. Fort Williams and the Portland Head Light are an easy walk away and the Cape Elizabeth land trust trails are just across the street for exploring and hiking. We did both - and then hurried back for the view! The house itself was perfect for relaxing, making meals with friends, conversation and playing games. Well-appointed, clean, and comfortable but not so ornate that you couldn't feel at home. I highly recommend this property and hope to go back soon!
We had a terrific time at this home. The view is quite incredible and the access to it from the great room as well as the terraces is terrific. It is a slightly worn home but the amenities and beds, appliances, tv, etc. were fine. The view, sights, and smells of the ocean were the real attraction and what made it so very special for our group.
