A great cozy apartment on a quiet neighborhood street in the Yorkville section of Upper East Side Manhattan. Ideal for a family or group of friends who are visiting New York City for vacation or work. The Upper East Side is close to shopping, restaurants, groceries, parks and museums. A taxi can be hailed from our front door or walk to the subway or bus for easy travel to anywhere in the city. There is on-street free parking in our neighborhood or nearby overnight garages for a fee.
4 ladies from Canada spent 6 nights at this apt it was lovely it was perfect for the 4 of us we had lots of room and everything we needed was there, linda was great she was there to meet us gave us lots of info she always answered our texts right away if we had questions.the neighborhood was quiet lots of restaurants and shops close by . walking distance to central park, short walk to subway a quaint backyard to sit and have coffee in morning. air con was nice as it was very hot . really enjoyed it.
This was just perfect for us. Two adults on the top floor and a family of four(including 2 kids) were below.
Linda was very gracious and our stay was just great. We cooked some meals in after long days of enjoying NYC. We walked a great deal due to the weather. This location is convenient to the bus and many markets for shopping.
The great part we had our privacy and two bathrooms. This is a great value in NYC...outdoor space, nice neighborhood and everything you need for an enjoyable time. Perfect for a group.
We had a wonderful time in the apartment in quiet surroundings - but with the busy New Yorker life just around the corner. Being 8 people we filled the apartment up to the max - but with two bathrooms, adequate beds - and alle the linen and towels we needed, it was perfect for our group. Our kids (11-15 years old) could walk the streets safely on their own. Great coffee and restaurants around the corner. Linda was a perfect host - greeted us on our arrival and gave tips and information about the neighborhood. Best recommendations.
Wonderful neighborhood for getting to know NYC. Our family of 6 visited NYC for a family wedding and, having lived in NYC for ten years, I wanted to show my children something more than the touristy version of the city. This quiet street and a lovely garden oasis was perfect for us. All the conveniences are within just a few blocks of the apartment - grocery store, drug store, quaint restaurants, my favorite bagel shop. A short walk to the East River and to Carl Schurz park for the kids; the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Central Park are about 15 minutes walking. Having private outdoor space was a treasure, and the weather was perfect! Linda was the most gracious and kind hostess, going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this for a family or those looking to relax after a long day in the bustling city.
We had 6 in our group. The space was perfect for us. Having 2 floors, 2 bathrooms and 2 living rooms was perfect for getting ready in the morning and relaxing after a day of site seeing. Linda was so helpful when we arrived, taking time to acclimate us to the neighborhood. We turned on the air conditioner the first day and it wasn't working very well, Linda had it replaced immediately and we came back to a nice cool apartment later that day.The apartment is very well stocked with supplies, we didn't expect handy things like fingernail polish remover, backpack, umbrella, etc. We enjoyed the wifi and pretty back yard too!
Our family of six had a wonderful experience staying in this apartment on the upper east side. Linda was very warm and welcoming on our arrival and throughout our visit. She was quick to respond to any email or text questions we had before and during our trip. Our children were easily entertained with the numerous games and books in the apartment. The friendly cats in the courtyard were pleasant to pet when the kids were outside. We ordered groceries from Fresh Direct which were delivered promptly our first evening. We ate breakfast each morning and a few dinners in the apartment (which was nice after a long day of sightseeing). For a treat, we had warm fresh baked cookies delivered one night from Insomnia Cookies. The neighborhood always felt safe and we walked easily to the Metro, restaurants and the Met. The listing and photos very accurately represent the apartment. We do hope to visit this apartment again for another NYC trip. Thank you Linda!
