Great location, extremely helpful host

  • 5 of 5

This is a great place to stay in NYC. The location is less than a 10 minute walk to the subway, the neighborhood is very nice and the apartment itself has plenty of space. Six of us stayed for a week during spring break. Linda was very helpful and a great host. I highly recommend this apartment!

Great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

There are five of us over 50 something women who travel together and we loved this apartment. It's kitschy and cute and the owner is so accommodating. None of us are limber enough to get into the top bunk but there is other alternatives to bed down. We didn't cook but did make coffee and kept beverages in the tiny kitchen. The beds were compfy the linens were fresh and the place is super clean. It's a 110 old brownstone so please don't expect suburban space. Total NYC experience. Subway three short blocks away, the local bar, Brady's, made us feel right at home just like "Norm". The river walk to beautiful and just what a traveler to a major city needs to find alittle quiet.

Great place in a great neighbourhood.

  • 5 of 5

We booked this apartment being first time VRBO users and had a million questions. Linda was extremely helpful and tolerant of our multiple emails. On arrival, the apartment is everything it promises. Linda greets you and shows you around quickly then leaves you to settle in. Linda remains accessible though and is a great help to first time visitors to New York with her insight and advice. Above all Linda is just a nice lady. The apartment is warm and comfortable. The neighbourhood is a little quieter than say midtown, but the area still has a lot to do. We found a great Pub nearby, the river walk, plenty of places to eat, all within an easy walk. Its an easy walk to The Met and Central Park. The first night we were there I was walking the streets to the local shops, which have everything you need and we felt safe and secure. We stayed 9 days in total, it was an excellent escape from the higher pace of other areas in Manhattan and a great base from which to explore. I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone seeking a bit of peace among the fast pace that is New York. Many thanks Linda, look forward to an influx of Aussie's as we are recommending your apartment to all of our contacts.

The four of us stayed for 6 days, and it was fantastic!

First and most important to us, was the beautiful garden, a rare find in the city.

Than, comfortable beds, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen fully stocked , washer and dryer and just beautiful over all.

Loved the art around the house, books and games, Linda really thought about all that guests might need, and than some:-)she was very helpful as well to our needs.

Highly recommended ,

Can't wait to be back!

A great find in a great neighborhood!

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this great apartment to anyone who visits NYC. The location is great and in a very safe neighborhood. The apartment has an upstairs and a downstairs, each with a full bath, hard to find in NYC. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. The apartment was very well stocked. The neighborhood had plenty of food stores and restaurants nearby.
