We just updated all the beds and bedding, dining table and furniture in this home. Very nice, comfortable home in great historic Trolley Square area of downtown Salt Lake. Also enjoy unbeatable loaction! Walking distance to lightrail train (to convention center, U of U, or Temple Square), and Trolley Square shops.

Old Home in Salt Lake City

My 95 year old Dad, and my 72 year old husband and I stayed here for 3 days. The house is 128 years old and has lots of character. The kitchen was well equipped except they did not provide any coffee, which would have been nice. The linens were nice and the beds comfortable. The house was clean, but there was a slight odor. There was plenty of room for more people. The bathrooms need to be repainted and the walkway in the back entry is broken. Also, the HD did not work on the TV. Overall it was an OK place to stay.

Old but clean, location as advertised

We expected the home to be old, the owner does not misrepresent that fact. We loved the charm and vintage nature of it actually. But, by far the best feature of this home is its foot traffic location in heart of downtown. We walked to Trolley Square mall and jumped on the train to the University and Citycreek mall/Temple. The home itself, although old, is clean, functional, and suitable for the needs of a group of 8-10. The kitchen is small, but has everything you need. The sizable table made it nice to sit and gather. We would stay again. The owner is Utah's Best Vacation Rentals. They are great to work with and offered us discounts on ski passes and rental cars, which actually saved us quite a bit. For the price you can't beat it if you really want to be in downtown proper Salt Lake.

Priced right and great downtown location

Great location, exceeded expectations. Great gathering space.

My wife and I stayed here with another couple earlier this month. It is even nicer than shown in the pictures. It is very conveniently located to downtown, the tram, a grocery store and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped and made cooking meals a the house very easy. The round dining room table easily seats eight adults which made the space great for entertaining friends. The front porch is a great place to start the day as it has a few chairs and a small table. The communication from the owners/management company was excellent. We recommend this place.

House was quite nice, unbeatable walking distance location

We felt quite comfortable here. The owner (company) was great to deal with and very responsive. The home is older, but we knew that when we rented it. It is fun to stay in a vintage historical-style residence in a location like Salt Lake with so much history.

The home had comfortable furnishings, new fresh linens, the hot tub was clean and useable, and the walk was convenient to the train stop. We did have an issue with needing a few extra pillows, but we called and they promptly brought them right over. We would recommend bringing no more than 10 if staying here as it can get a bit too crowded. But, all in all, the home was prepared nicely for us and in years past, we have not found a better location in downtown Salt Lake.

The location is truly unbeatable and it makes up for whatever age-related issues the home may have (cricks and creeks, etc). Alot of people tell us how much they love its charm and that it has not been altered.
