About Wendy, Devon, or Lexi

Hi VRBO friends! I'm Brad. I grew up in Utah and love sharing it with travelers from around the world. We own a family business called Utah's Best Vacation Rentals. We offer some of Utah's nicest vacation homes in Salt Lake, Park City, Bear Lake, and St. George areas year round. Family owned and operated since 2007. 95% guest satisfaction.

We offer so much more than just homes; we have a private chef who is amazing, we can cater meals, stock your home with groceries (a guest favorite!), get you discount attraction passes, offer in-home massage, and we have a full staff to serve you. You will love our homes and your experience staying with us! Anyone can rent homes, but few can offer the memorable experience that keeps you coming back. We care very much about our guests and hope you feel that from the first contact you have with us to the day you check-out. Our goal is for you to want to return for years to come.

Much of our business comes from repeat guests and referrals. Our #1 priority is your complete satisfaction and lifelong return visits to Utah with us. We have a small staff who aims to please. We are also partnered with many local businesses and offer discount rental cars, discount lift tickets, ski rentals, private in-home chef, catering, grocery delivery, attraction passes, city tours, and massages. Be our guest, you'll have an experience unlike any other on VRBO...and save hundreds on other travel services.

For more information or for personal assistance from our local reservations team, just send us a message through VRBO.

Old but clean, location as advertised

  • 5 of 5

We expected the home to be old, the owner does not misrepresent that fact. We loved the charm and vintage nature of it actually. But, by far the best feature of this home is its foot traffic location in heart of downtown. We walked to Trolley Square mall and jumped on the train to the University and Citycreek mall/Temple. The home itself, although old, is clean, functional, and suitable for the needs of a group of 8-10. The kitchen is small, but has everything you need. The sizable table made it nice to sit and gather. We would stay again. The owner is Utah's Best Vacation Rentals. They are great to work with and offered us discounts on ski passes and rental cars, which actually saved us quite a bit. For the price you can't beat it if you really want to be in downtown proper Salt Lake.

Priced right and great downtown location

  • 4 of 5

Thankful for being able to host friends at the large, round table. Looking around and seeing the eight of us enjoying a home cooked meal and conversation was a highlight.

Great location, exceeded expectations. Great gathering space.

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here with another couple earlier this month. It is even nicer than shown in the pictures. It is very conveniently located to downtown, the tram, a grocery store and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped and made cooking meals a the house very easy. The round dining room table easily seats eight adults which made the space great for entertaining friends. The front porch is a great place to start the day as it has a few chairs and a small table. The communication from the owners/management company was excellent. We recommend this place.

House was quite nice, unbeatable walking distance location

  • 4 of 5

We felt quite comfortable here. The owner (company) was great to deal with and very responsive. The home is older, but we knew that when we rented it. It is fun to stay in a vintage historical-style residence in a location like Salt Lake with so much history.

The home had comfortable furnishings, new fresh linens, the hot tub was clean and useable, and the walk was convenient to the train stop. We did have an issue with needing a few extra pillows, but we called and they promptly brought them right over. We would recommend bringing no more than 10 if staying here as it can get a bit too crowded. But, all in all, the home was prepared nicely for us and in years past, we have not found a better location in downtown Salt Lake.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your feedback. We try very hard to make this an enjoyable, comfortable home for guests. The location is truly unbeatable and it makes up for whatever age-related issues the home may have (cricks and creeks, etc). Alot of people tell us how much they love its charm and that it has not been altered.

Hard to believe these other reviews are real... Fair at best.

We just got back from our stay at this trolley heights house and while the house did not wreck anyone's week, it certainly is not the house depicted in the listing.

I'll start with the Cons:

> House is smaller and dirtier than it looks in the photos.

>Every single dish in the house was crusty and dirty, some where completely unwashed.

>The shower heads are very low, its pretty comical, and the hot water heater cannot accommodate 12 guests, or even half of that.

>Several doors in the house do not latch. Downstairs bathroom lock was not working and the door was so loud that people sleeping were woken up by it.

>The sofas are very dirty and need steam cleaning. Some of the bed spreads were also dirty (albeit easy to miss there was a small blood stain on one)

>The jacuzzi is stained brown and yellow and the lid is crumbling apart

>The house still receives mail, over the time we were there the mailbox filled up completely and the mailman began stacking mail on the front porch, some of which blew away with the wind.

>The sleeper sofa is broken. The mechanism to open it is very stiff and once you do get it open the head of the mattress is well below the rest of it. Had to use sofa cushions to prop it up.

>The washer and dryer are just a joke. I think the dryer could be heard from over a block away, lol..

OK Now with the PROs:

>The Utah's Best Vacation Rentals staff was very easy to work with and well organized. They get an administrative 5 stars.

>Rental car discount - a major plus.

>The location of the house is pretty hard to beat.

>This place was inexpensive (our rates were on the low end of the spectrum listed here on VRBO. Would definitely not be worth the upper end.)

Owner's Response: We take great pride in the homes we offer and felt this review was a bit unfair. We make it very clear that this home is "vintage historic", meaning it is has all of its originality with some modern updates. We have since removed the hot tub from this property as it was worn out. The cleanliness is not an issue. We deep cleaned carpets and addressed whatever issues were brought to our attention. New dishware and kitchen supplies were added to freshen things up. It's hard to judge this home by just one review when so many hundreds of other families have quite enjoyed this home and its charm. The location is unbeatable as well. There are tradeoffs for the convenience. We o our very best to keep this home nice considering its age and things outside our control.

Owner and staff were Outstanding

We visited Utah for a ski trip. The staff were outstanding - very understanding and helpful. Also, the discounts offered on rental ski equipment and lift tickets were excellent and much appreciated. And the skiing was excellent.
