Romantic Little Hideaway in Manuel Antonio

Bedrooms 1
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

'Terraza Apartment' gets its name from its spacious patio surrounded by mango, papaya, coconut and banana trees and exotic flowers. Ideal for single person or couple seeking exotic tropical setting and tranquility, yet minutes away from the world class Manuel Antonio beach and night life of the area. You can take a different nature hike every day in the hills nearby, or to a beautiful beach a half hour walk below. Cool off with a swim in the sea when you get there in a protected bay where you will be lucky (or unlucky) to see another human being!

Perfect for nature - lovers because you may wake up to the calls of howler monkeys, observe titi and white-face monkeys, sloths and colorful birds from your patio, and hear the unforgettable calls of a pair of Great Tinamou, sometimes accompanied by a pair of blue-crowned motmots, roosting in the tree outside your door.

Guests are welcome to relax by the fountain in the garden above the apartment.

Built in 2005, based on architect Edgar Rojas´ concept of harmony with Costa Rica's natural surroundings, this apartment typically uses native materials throughout. It was freshly painted in Feb. 2016 and has a new sofa bed, very comfy.

Most of the furniture is hand-crafted out of teak and cedar by local carpenters. Fully equipped with state of the art facilities, including both modern air conditioning and fans. Weekly maid service included, can be more frequent if required for small extra cost. Guard on property 6 p.m. - 6 a.m.

House manager available to organize tours. Chef can be provided.

Only a seven minute car or bus ride to the world-class Manuel Antonio beach and park. Buses to Quepos or Manuel Antonio only a 3 minute walk away. Plenty of international and local restaurants in the area.

Lovely, convenient and nice neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

The Terrazza Apartment was wonderful. I enjoyed it very much. It is conveniently located so that the bus along the main road stops on the corner. You can easily get food and supplies, go to restaurants and of course, visit Manuel Antonio National Park, which is not to be missed. There is lots of light in the apartment, it has a lovely garden path to explore. The monkeys visited and were swinging from trees and running on the terrace, it was quite a show. Carol was very helpful when I contacted her and her concierge, Krissia, was also extremely helpful. She brought me flowers, fruit and cookies when I first arrived, what a welcome! The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen has great appliances and supplies. I really hope to return soon.

Cute and homey

  • 5 of 5

Manual Antonio was the first stop in Costa Rica. We chose the apartment because of the cute pictures online, the great reviews, and the affordable price.

Krissia met us there upon arrival. Everything was clean and exceeded our expectations. There was even fresh local fruit and a postcard for us when we arrived! The apartment has air-conditioning, fans, A small kitchen which is fairly well stocked, not with food but utensils and if you spices. Cable TV available. In a foreign country far away from home, we were able to relax and feel more comfortable. We could eat what we wanted for breakfast lunch or dinner or go out to eat. The supermarket was right around the corner, the town of Quepos right around the corner the other way, and amazing restaurants are within walking distance away as was public transportation.

Krissia, I believe, manages the apartment for the owner, and is a kind and helpful person, answered our questions and offered to arrange transportation and tours for us.

Great get away

  • 5 of 5

Everything about our stay here was wonderful. The description is perfect and the house is close to everything. The house and property are beautiful and everything so clean upon our arrive. We were offered help with planning and booking tours, given advice to places to eat along with the best places to go on the beach. I would defiantly recommend staying here and I know I would stay here again if I return to this area.

Owner's Response: Thanks Geoffrey. You were special guests as well! We couldn't believe that you washed all the towels - the place hardly looked used! I hope you will return again to Terraza Apartment and all the very best to you both!!

Nice little place set in a beautiful garden!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at this little apartment. The owners are extremely helpful and eager to offer suggestions. They have made our stay a wonderful experience. We only had two full days in the area but we enjoyed every minute of it. The flowers and wildlife in the garden are amazing, so were our excursions in the area to zipline and visit Manuel Antonio National Park. We would love to come back some day...

This is an unbelievable gem in Manuel Antonio! So comfortable, clean, and well appointed. It feels like home away from home. (And a great price!)! The ability to make our own meals and do laundry (if needed) is much appreciated...especially since we've been on the road for a few months already. The pullout couch was perfect for our 11yr old son. Bed is comfortable with nice sheets and pillows. The apartment is a bit off the main road (and its uphill) so if you dont have a vehicle be prepared for the walk. :) Jorge, the manager, is very helpful and friendly and Carol, the owner, was very quick in replying to emails even though they are out of the country right now. We're pleased with everything! No complaints! So happy to have found this spot - wish we were staying longer!
