Mosinee House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10-14)

Accommodations: Cabin, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 2 sofa sleepers, upstairs and downstairs large family rooms

Ideal rental for a large family or small group. Cabin on a beautiful lot overlooking the Big Eau Pleine Reservoir (Over 6000 acres of water). Lot has over 160 feet of lake frontage. Plenty of wildlife.

Sit on the dock and fish, or take your boat out on the 12 miles of water. Note that the dock is not always available for boats due to fluctuating water levels, but there is a very nice public landing 1 mile away. Wonderful area for tubing, waterskiing and jet skiing. Relaxing long weekend!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and another couple came to his delightful home for a long, leisurely weekend. Dave came to the house to collect his rent on Wed evening after we got there but we had a great conversation and he shared some good places to eat which we definitely appreciated. We spent Thurs and Fri visiting Stevens Point (the brewery) and Wausau (a great winery in a small strip mall) and enjoying the peak Fall colors. On Saturday we spent the entire day at the house enjoying the view, the colors and each other's company. The house was very nice and had everything we needed. We were expected to bring our own towels, which we knew ahead of time. There were two grills on the deck but neither were clean enough to be used, which was not a big deal as we went out for one good meal a day and then snacked the rest of the time on cheese, sausage and crackers that we obtained at Mullen's Cheese. The Buck-a-Neer has a terrific fish fry on Fridays with THE best deep fried cheese curds we have had! Would I recommend this place to friends and family. Absolutely. I don't think anyone would be disappointed in the host or the house.

Affordable Option

  • 3 of 5

The owner is very helpful and friendly. The place worked for our daughter's birthday party weekend. We were looking for a larger house to host our immediate family. If you are looking for extra amenities/entertainment the house did not really have anything, but it did have all your basic needs. Just remember to bring towels.

Overall the price was right for our need and we enjoyed our stay.

Cross Country Ski Weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful weekend of cross country skiing. Perfect getaway for four couples - each had our own bedroom with two bathrooms. Recently redecorated main living area. It was warm, comfortable, CLEAN, and cozy. Kitchen well equipped for us to do all our cooking at the house when we came home from skiing. Nine Mile Forest was closed to the public the day we skied, but we lucked out and found a great county park north of Merrill called the Underdown (would highly recommend for classic skiers). Owner of home was friendly and very easy to work with. We plan to make this an annual event! Thanks Dave!

New Year in Wausau

  • 5 of 5

Very nice place to stay. We had big company with kids and the house was very comfortable for all of us. The kids had their own space downstairs to play. The house was very clean and freshly painted. We celebrated New Year and did a lot of cooking. The kitchen and dining room was big enough for our big company. We enjoyed plenty of snow which we missed this year in Chicago. I even did some cross country skiing along the lake right from the house. Most of the time we spent at the Granite Pick mountain which is great for downhill skiing and about 30 minutes drive from the house.

On behave of all my friends, I would like thanks friendly property owner David, for his hospitality and such enjoyable experience.

This is a wonderful vacation home, the owner is very helpful. We slept 9 comfortably and was able to relax with family. We had a wedding in Marshfield which was only 15 minutes away, we prepared a rehearsal dinner in the kitchen that was well supplied. I would definately recommend this home to any one who is thinking about a vacation in this part of Wisconsin.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a place to stay that was close to Granite Peak/Rib Mountain for a weekend of snowboarding. This house was 20 miles from there and the roads are a straight shot. Great Place. We had 3 families with a total of 15 people. 4 bedrooms were good sized and a few kids on the couches/floors. There is everything there you will possibly need from coffee makers, Nesco, crockpots, pots, pans etc... The owner was awesome to work with. We will look to stay there in the future!!! Right on the lake for fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, whatever you may want.
