I haven't had such a peaceful and pleasant stay in a very long time.
The vintage cabin was clean, cozy and charming. Very comfortable sleeping. Loved the quaint, fully equipped kitchen. I made coffee every morning and sat lakeside to welcome the morning- best way to start the day!
The cabin offered an amazing large porch where we enjoyed lunch and dinner every day. It was the best place to read, relax, chat and soak up the lake view. The cabin offered lots of outdoor space which was great for kids to romp on plus lake activities and a wonderful hammock. Great location to surrounding towns and activities especially the Sandwich creamery! The only draw back was its location near the road. The pictures give the impression that it is secluded in a quiet, wooded setting but unfortunately the peace and silence were interrupted throughout the day by passing vehicles. Other than that, the cabin has a lot to offer and is great for families and friends to enjoy.
Tina and Jesse's cottage is the ultimate in a lakeside, relaxing vacation. From the location in quiet Sandwich Cove, to the beautiful front porch with a view, lovely outdoor shower, and boat access...wet couldn't have asked for a better place to spend time relaxing as a family. Thank you, Pauleys!!!
We had a lovely stay over Columbus Day weekend filled with canoeing and kayaking, enjoying the outdoor fire pit, grilling and the dynamite foliage. The cabin was just what we were looking for. Tina was very accommodating when we had a question, we were toasty warm all weekend and didn't want to leave, not to mention the excellent outdoor shower. Would definitely return!
This home and area provides all the necessities to help families today to enjoy each other once again. In a world of constant, immediate access that leads to impatience and discontentment; this dwelling, allows people to relax, keep it simple, enjoy a beautiful atmosphere of an awe-inspiring lake with many extras no other home offers. There are surprises as you pull into this property not mentioned that will assure you that you picked the right home to unwind. Once here, there is no need for a clock, just a bit of food and a free spirit to enjoy nature and each other. The privacy, location and dwelling is all one could hope for on such a lake that is kept so clean and respected. We have enjoyed many years here. This is a true find.
Very comfortable. I rent the cabin with three other fishing buddies. The boat launch is nice and close to the cabin and not very busy (+). The fishing in the lake is terrific (+). The porch facing the cove has plenty of room to sit and eat at the large table. Can't wait to return next year!
Squam Lake is the site of the movie 'On Golden Pond'. The cottage is located on the north end of Big Squam Lake, two miles from the quaint town of Sandwich, NH. Our lakefront home has magnificent sunsets, lake and mountain views. It is a short drive to Sandwich Center, Center Harbor, Moultonborough, Meredith and Weirs Beach. The rental includes the use of kayaks and canoes , There are some life jackets available, however you may want to bring extras. There is no cable tv or web access, however verizon cell service is strong. Eagle Cliff Trail is within walking distance from the cottage, where you will see breathtaking views of the lake. Wake to the sound of reveille playing from nearby Camp Hale at sunrise and wind down to the sound of taps playing at sunset. It is a great place to get away from it all!
