Unique S. Minneapolis duplex: Two 3BR units open for large or small groups*

Bedrooms 6
Space 1,600 sq. ft.
Property type house

About the property

Former Duplex-Can rent both floors to a large group or one floor to a small grp

*Note, I cannot rent both floors simultaneously to different parties, per VRBO advertising rules.

For faster responses to your questions, please call or text me at 612-308-0149. Do not email me. - I have a very unique property that is doesn't fit into the format well. As much as I like VRBO it's better explained in a call or text directly. It's like trying to fit a square peg into a round whole.

Your party can rent the whole house (both floors for large group 7-12) or just one floor (available for small groups 1-6). The rate listed in the Rates Section of the Ad is for small groups renting one floor.

***Small Group rates for 1 floor: $225/night, $1400/week (7 nights), and $2800/month.

***Large Group rate is for both (2) floors (6 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms): $400/night, $3,000/week (7 nights), $5,500/month. Please call my cell or text for questions.***

I do have special event rates, group rates, special needs, or seasonal and holiday rates that may or may not be posted. The number of people, number and types of pets, the number of days or weeks all factor in to what rate you might pay. Please call or text me for those rates.

We have accommodations whether it be for a wedding , reunion , business meeting or retreat. The quoted rental fees are negotiable, depending on your circumstances, which can be worked out over the phone with me in advance.

The dog fees are not flexible but most everything else is pretty much. If you want to clean yourself we can work out a compromise.

I need the rental to pay my husbands extensive medical debts and nursing home. I would eventually like to turn this beautiful place of mine to be a hospice or a Ronald McDonald type place or a retreat center or place of respite. I am onsite most of the time in my basement walkout, in case their are questions, I can address them immediately. it makes me feel so good to have our lovely home filled with reunions, weddings, families or retreats or business conferences. This home has a real, real, healing and feeling of joy, peace and creativity about it.

This is a truly unique property which meets all kinds of needs but doesn't fit a form application at all well. It has also been used for special celebrations, family members while a loved one is in a hospital, or for memorials, shivas and parties. This is your temporary home, not a hotel. All have found joy or peace within these walls and left renewed. Each of my guests come with different needs and we strive to meet each of your needs - no two families/ groups are alike. Hopefully you will leave life's baggage at the door and when you step in one or all of our doors you will feel healing and joy.

This place works for reunions, individual families, weddings, celebrations Business , retreats , memorials, shivas, celebrations, or a respite with someone in the hospital.

We rent weekly, monthly or 4 days minimum, but I am flexible, so please call or text me.

Our family has been through sever health , life and death crises which hasn't been easy

emotionally, physically, or financially . We hope when you leave our beautiful place you will be renewed and have much joy in our beautiful home, yard, and lovely neighborhood.

Each floor has a modern kitchen with granite counters, modern cabinets, new appliances, any small appliance one could wish for, beautiful serving pieces and cookware and a choice of many sets of dishes and silverware-all dishwasher safe. The house went dark 8 years ago when my husband suffered a life threatening brain aneurysm, but he battled through adversity to survive it. Unfortunately he is no longer able to enjoy the house we have owned since the early 70's. He comes back and visits from time to time when he needs a break from the place he is at. We have since put light and life back into the house by hosting many wonderful people and families from around the globe over the last years. We are overlooking Minnehaha Creek, by Lake Nokomis and Lake Harriet, in a vibrant, upscale and creative enclave, We are blessed with everything one wants in a good neighborhood: beautiful scenery, great parks and lakes, safe location, plenty of parking, terrific shops and restaurants and theatre, wonderful neighbors, public transportation, and jogging rollerblading and biking trails out our door, and a 3 to 5 minute walk to swimming, sailing, fishing, tennis courts, golf,or baseball, We are five minutes from the Mall of America, Ikea, and Minneapolis/Saint Paul International airport. We are also a short walk, bike ride or quick drive to dozens of other shops and restaurants, parks, theaters, places of worship, lakes and recreation. There are 26+ miles of hiking, jogging, biking, rollerblading and walking paths literally outside our door which connect the lakes, Minnehaha Creek and the Mississippi River. During different seasons, walking, jogging, biking, canoeing, sailing, swimming, golfing, cross country skiing, sledding, and skating are just steps or within a half-mile radius. We are 7 minutes to downtown Minneapolis, 15 minutes to downtown St. Paul. We are three blocks to several bus lines with direct routes to the Mall of America, downtown Minneapolis, numerous hospitals and medical facilities, universities, museums and an easy transfer at the Mall of America to the airport, light rail, bus lines to all of Minnesota and surrounding areas. The Mayo Clinic is a one hour commute or you may take the hourly bus shuttle at the airport directly to the Mayo Clinic.

This is an ideal spot for families, friends, professionals, and reunions of all kinds, wedding gatherings, corporate or group retreats and business or special events.

Please check out my competitors ,then check out my property. You are welcome to visit my property. Just call ahead and schedule it. This is a real home in a gorgeous neighborhood.
