'MisBayhaven' is located on 4 pristine waterfront acres 2 miles from the center of St. Michaels, Maryland. Situated on a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay (the largest inland body of water in the United States). The property offers beautiful views, a relaxing park-like atmosphere in a truly natural environment.
'MisBayhaven' is a spacious 5000 square foot (including the screened-in porch) country cape cod situated on the east bank of the Harris Creek (1/2 mile wide) making for easy water access and beautiful sunsets. It has central air-conditioning, two master bedroom suites with king size beds, 4 full bathrooms and three additional large bedrooms. Living is centered around the spectacular 500 sq. ft. screened-in porch with mahogany wood floors and ceilings with gorgeous views to the water.
'MisBayhaven' also offers a family room with fireplace, a large kitchen and a t.v/game room. Amenities include a pool, hot tub, dock, outdoor tree swing, hammock, ping pong table and two laundry facilities for convenience. The house has just completed a full renovation including a new pool, landscaping and hardwood floors.
Activities include fishing and crabbing directly from the dock, countryside biking, tubing, boating, ping pong, badmitton, relaxation by the pool or in the hot tub, reading under the trees or swinging in our tree suspended hammock or swing. Evening activities including star gazing and sunset watching are memorable as a clear night will reveal the Milky Way Galaxy directly above.
Due to its temperate climate, the Eastern Shore enjoys a long outdoor season from March through November. The summer is most popular for its celebration of crab feasts and Plein-Air art festivals. The fall is famous for the massive influx of migratory waterfowl and associated festivals. Situated in a quaint historical locale and steeped in Eastern Shore culture, St. Michaels offers a beautiful contrast to cities such as Washington and Baltimore both of which make for a great day trip.
St. Michaels was voted one of the top 10 'Most Romantic Get-Aways' by Coastal Living Magazine.

Debbie, we loved your beautiful home! I'm not sure if I told you, but we have been renting vacation homes for a very long time. I guess you'd say we are professional renters by this time in our lives! You wouldn't believe how often a rental for 10 or 12 people has seating for 8! And kitchen equipment...we even carry our own box of certain things. You can tell you use your home and love it. And know what families need while enjoying your home. The kitchen is so well equipped, and day to day supplies are so much appreciated. As I said, we never know what to expect, so we come prepared. Of course the setting is amazing, and though it was hot ( not as bad as last year when we were in Annapolis - 106!), we were able to utilize the screened porch, which we love. We were a bit concerned about the fridge. It was broken, not cooling, but shelving, and we were careful about further breakage. And the 2 metal stools at the island are a bit precarious. We put them aside. I always say to our gang, " not on our watch". But these things are minor, just wanted you to be aware. The bedrooms are fabulous, and so much space to be together and hang out, which is our primary purpose. And your suggestions for dining out were super. We hit Ava's, the Big Pickle, Harbor Lights, the schooner ( I think that's it ), and the kids did Gina's Cantina. All great!!! Thank you very much for providing our family with a perfect summer setting. Of course, I imagine it's perfect whatever the season!
This was our first time renting through VRBO and we were not disappointed. Our family had such a great time. The home was perfect with plenty of room for all. It was comfortable and really clean, with everything we could possible need, including a beautiful view of the water. You can definitely tell the property is well maintained. We took advantage of the pool during the hot days and hot tub in the evening. The screened in patio was perfect for dinner after grilling and there is a large comfortable seating area where we enjoyed a glass of wine. Getting up in the morning we sit by the water with our coffee which was very quiet and peaceful. The house was just a few minutes outside of St. Michaels which made it so easy to try out the many restaurants. There is great shopping in town and would definitely recommend Rise Up for a specialty coffee. We revisited Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge where we had fun biking and kayaking. This is such a great area to take the family to on vacation because there is so much to enjoy! We'll definitely be back.
We were in st Michaels for a weekend getaway with friends. The house was amazing, well appointed and much bigger than it appeared in the pictures. The pool was open, but too chilly to go in, but the hot tub was perfect! Communication with owner was prompt and she was helpful with things to do in the area. Also lots of information in the house. Would love to return with our family. Thank you for sharing your home!
Beautiful sunsets indeed ! Not to mention - this lovely home had everything our family needed to celebrate my 80th birthday with elegance and cosiness.
First of all, it was clean and sparkling, the kitchen perfectly stocked for 11 people to cook anything and everything !
Secondly, the space is conducive to comfort, easy movement from room to room....suited to backgammon tournements, long chats, or just sitting quietly looking out the window . Since it was a rather chilly, rainy Saturday, we had a roaring fire going all day and night - which was a delight for everyone...
There is a lovely ambiance about this home - the feeling that it is meticulously cared for - in all details, and yet arranged for pure comfort.
If I live to be 85 I will be right back there enjoying it all over again ! You come too !
Went to Debbie's house for a moms weekend away. The house was perfect, very large and comfortable. I felt like I was staying at my sisters house. This house is definitely not thought of as a rental by the owners. I am a rental snob, I like nice places and this did not disappoint. Lots of space to hang out, nicely decorated and quite. Perfect.
Our stay at "Misbehaven " rental was perfectly amazing!! Our whole family ...children, spouses and grandchildren loved everything about their stay with us!! This home is everything and more than detailed on the website!! Debbie was a delight to work with making our stay awesome. She was very helpful and accommodating with any questions before and during our stay. This home is absolutely beautiful...fully equipped kitchen...very comfortable beds...enjoyed beautiful sunsets across the water from spacious screened -in sun room, large backyard and dock!!
We will definitely return and highly recommend!!! Thanks Debbie for an absolutely perfect experience...it was the best😎
I booked this waterfront home for my 40th birthday celebration, and it did not disappoint. The home is close enough to the quaint and lovely Main Street, while still being just far enough away to feel private. We enjoyed most everything that St. Michael's has to offer; shopping, bicycling, steaming crabs, paddle boarding, wine-tasting, and waterfront rest & relaxation. The house had everything we could have asked for. There are many comfortable sitting areas, great tables for playing games, wonderful outdoor space with superb quality outdoor furniture, and extras that we enjoyed (bikes, ping-pong, books, movie collection). I highly recommend this home and would return in a heartbeat. There are two items worth mentioning, but did not detract from our experience: 1) The paddle-board entry from the dock is challenging. There is a ladder to help facilitate, but in strong wind (or if the boat is parked) it is best to find a shore spot to launch. 2) I lost a small portion of my security deposit refund because we left the recycling in the can rather than taking it with us. It wasn't very obvious to me that we needed to remove it, but I accept my part in not reading the fine print. We had a really lovely time, and the owner is very knowledgeable and easy to work with.
Golf: Several challenging golf courses within a 10 mile area.
