  • 5 of 5

Was will man mehr.

Haus mit Charakter

  • 5 of 5

Toller Herbsturlaub in romantischem Ambiente

  • 5 of 5

Mahlitzsch is a small Saxon village without large farms. Despite living on each homestead various animals, almost every farm is guarded by a watchdog and in the peaceful soundscape mingle the conversations of chickens, sheep, horses and cows. Sometimes at night arguing the hangover and in early summer the nightingales sing around the clock. Daily traffic, sneaking through the large paving road through the village, you can usually count on 10 fingers. Of course we do not live in the museum and in harvest time on or roll the other tractor through the village.

Just after the village of the Dübener Heide Nature Park begins. It extends to the southeast of Saxony-Anhalt and in the northwest of Saxony an area of 75 000 ha.

Nestled in the natural river landscapes of the Elbe and Mulde invites the largest mixed forest in central Germany by glacially dominated hills to over 500 km of marked trails for hiking.

Here circling cranes and eagles on romantic lakes, on the banks patiently gathered beaver lodges pile up.

169 different species of birds can be observed from the competent nature lovers.

In the woods mighty beeches and oaks have counted the centuries and in many alder fractures to weigh the fern with the wind. The storks strutting on the species-rich meadows or accompany the tractors in the fields.

The nature park runs through an extensive network of long-distance riding trails and a variety of attractive mills await interested visitors. Romantic ponds and lakes, and of course, the Elbe and Mulde make the hearts of water lovers beat faster.

The very quiet and expansive floodplains are a paradise for people who want to enjoy all the tourist flows away to a wild and varied landscape itself.

The Goitzsche: A huge Au forest fell lignite excavators victim. Now gets the nature finally her area again

Even those interested in culture come in the vicinity their money's worth. Lying at the triangle Berlin / Leipzig / Dresden to leave the cities in more than 2 hours to reach and to visit on day trips. The routes to Berlin and Dresden carry this through beautiful scenic areas. Leipzig can be reached in an hour and has everything enjoys the arts and cultural and shopping lovers.

Those wishing to explore the surroundings with the bike, which can go just past the village on the international Elbe cycle path and in the towns of Torgau and Wittenberg in the footsteps of Luther or watch the haunts historically influential personalities. Torgau was home and Hartenfels Castle standing proudly and visible above the city.

Martin Luther wrote here with Jonas, Melanchthon, and Bugenhagen the "Torgau Articles". Luther's wife Katharina died after a coach accident in Torgau, after she wanted to flee from the plague has broken out from Wittenberg. Even Napoleon left his mark in Torgau and Samuel Hahnemann wrote his "Organon".
