We've been complimented so many times on the interior design and layout of the cottage. With a queen bedroom and bathroom upstairs, and the same downstairs, the cottage provides lots of privacy for families or couples traveling together.

This is a charming cottage in a beautiful setting. The space is well designed and comfortable for up to 6. We would return here again.
Our Experience at The Shores at Darnley
My wife and I, along with our 2 little pups, very much enjoyed our stay...the home was ready for us to move in...very neat, clean, what we expected. what we were hoping for. Great home and right on the Basin at Darnley so, great views, quiet and friendly neighbors...certainly would not hesitate to come back again. We met Lee Ann who was very helpful and friendly...overall excellent experience. Great beach right down the street as well...pups loved it too...lots of space to run around and walk. Loved it.

Quiet, great views, tastefully designed house.
My wife and I spent a week here. We loved the place. There are beautiful views of the Darnley Basin. Unlike many place that have view, this place was very close to the basin. The house is tastefully designed, with an open roof. Except for the hum of a refrigerator it was awesomely quiet. We had some problems with the internet one day and LeeAnn responded quickly. We are hoping to come back next year.

We spent a lovely weekend a The Shores. The cottage had all the amenities, a breathtaking view and cozy beds. A long walk along the shore was the highlight of the weekend as well as the bonfire at night. The cottage was decorated with a wonderful Maritime flair and was spotless. A great time was had by all. Thank you LeeAnn for creating such a happy and relaxing atmosphere.

Home sweet Home... if even just for a couple days
Absolutely loved it! Clean, comfy, perfect for my daughter and I as we passed through on bicycles. The view was fantastic, the cottage was perfectly clean, all the amenities were as advertised. OK, the one DVD we tried to play was really lame... but the satellite TV was perfect and we got to watch the stanley cup finals, so 5 stars for entertainment as well. My daughter and I biked to nearby cabot state park and walked the beach and the nearby campground had a great variety store for all the basics to make our stay complete. The nearby restaurant, ship to shore, had the best mussels I've ever had. All in all, it was everything I had hoped for and more.
Thank you for your review! We're always happy to hear when people enjoy PEI as much as we do.
Great Property but needs some TLC
We spent a week at the Darnley Cottage in mid-September. There is lots to recommend about the place: very comfortable beds, really great cottage layout and design (the upstairs lounge/TV area is a real treat), and close driving distance to some spectacular beaches. It is dark outside at night so star gazing is terrific. It falls short on the execution, however, and needs a few days of repair catch-up after a summer of use: kitchen chairs are almost too wobbly to sit on, one blow dryer but two bathrooms, dribbling faucet and broken tap handles, unravelling carpet and ripped bedskirts. More attention to looking after the place would make it a 5-star property, but at the moment, it is just “average”.
